The pop-up bar on the main page is irritating and annoying.

I don't want some menu or infobox or bar containing information to follow me when I scroll through the site. When I scroll down, I want the things that are there to vanish and not to follow me till the end.

Can you please disable that annoying bar? Or make an option to close it at least.

Do you have a screenshot?  I'm not sure what bar are you referring to.

EDIT: I think I got rid of it.  It came along with the "infinite scroll"; I forced it back to "finite scroll" and the bar has gone.

Log out, scroll down and see it at the bottom of the screen.

My brief googling did not find a solution.
