Double Tactician

How can you play two Tacticians on turn A and receive the benefits (+5 cards, +1 action, and + 1 buy) from each of the tacticians on the next turn, resulting in a 15 card hand the next turn?

Play Golem, reveal Tactician + Laboratory, play Tactician first (discarding at least 1 card), then play Laboratory drawing a Tactician and another card. Now play the Tactician you just drew, discarding the other card. You could actually do even better than this (3+ Tacticians in play) by drawing more Golems.

I cheated a little, since I've actually seen a gamelog of this before ;)

Golem-ing into a Native Village instead of a Lab also works. Or anything else that can draw you at least one card and another Tactician with an action left.
To be fair, I've also seen a gamelog of this. The guy's strategy seemed mostly focused around getting this to happen, and in the end it worked! But he lost the game.
Still a cool feat though.

I've PLAYED a game where I did this. And lost. Actually every game I've seen this happen, the guy who did it lost. A little weird.

I do not find it even a little bit surprising that Golem doesn't combo well with multiple Tacticians.

Seems like too much work for not enough benefit.

It's not like I was going into the game with the plan of doing this. And while I don't think they have particular positive synergy, I wouldn't expect them to have SO much negative synergy as to never win.

Well, both cards shine in untrimmed decks, so they are good in similar situations.

But they are not good together.

Draw 5 cards from tactician ... "Hey, I'll play this Golem" ... Golem finds Tactician ... You discard 9 cards and end your turn. Brilliant combo!

Throw a vault/secret chamber into the combo, and suddenly it's not half bad.

Hey Guided, nice work, that was my exact solution!

Could you possibly find the game log and post it?

It was a long time ago on BGG in some random thread. I can't find it at the moment.

I'm not sure. Tactician may shine in untrimmed decks (add a bank to the coppers) and Golem too. But specifically Double Tactician shines in trimmed deck imho with lots of virtual money, unless you have vault/secret chamber to make these coppers virtual money.
