Can I get XIII?

It might be Second Chance (replay roles from prev. games), or that Hydra thing, or a regular open one.

All the mechanics are exactly the same, and it would ruin perceptions of what a hydra is supposed to be if we make it bastard or role madness.

Two questions about hydra:
1. Do you get to choose your hydra partner?
2. Can hydra partners talk to each other during day or night? If it has the same mechanics, I would think so, because it would be the same as thinking to yourself.

It's not set in stone, my idea was:

1. Random pairings.
2. I'm leaning towards that you can talk with your partner
Aside from that:
Player or observer who guesses the most pairs gets a special mention.

Get your friends to sign up for ZM1!

Also, the games that are ongoing are super slow today.

I have an idea for a Seaside flavoured mafia game, with a twist related to a Dominion celebrity (that I will keep secret until the actual time of the game) that I want to mod. I think I've balanced it in a way that would be fair for 9, 11 or 13 (depending on interest). It would be semi-closed. In loose terms it would have a single scum team against town. The scum team would in addition to their normal NK abilities also have a Curse ability that could restrict a player's ability to communicate (they would still have a way to vote, but the way they post would be limited and obvious to all).
-there would be 2 or 3 scum depending on numbers.
-In addition to that there will be 1 or 2 vanilla PR (Cop and Doctor) depending on numbers.
-There would be a town-aligned, but scum helping role that would think they are some other town role, but are randomly compulsively restricting players ability to communicate just like scum.
-There would also be 1 flavoured PR that would be able to reflect the hindrance to communication back at the person who caused it. Not as strong as JK, Doc or Cop, but still town useful.
-This seems slightly weighted in scums favour at this point so there would need to be one or two weak town roles added to this.

I obviously want to keep some of this a secret which is why I won't give it all away, but I would reveal the roles and numbers of all participants (except for maybe the weaker roles) at the start of game. Does this sound like something people would be interested in? Also any suggestions for good weak town roles that might help balance this? I have a couple in mind, but I'm open to suggestions if there's some people have wanted to see.

If people are interested would this be MXIV?

Jorbles, a piece of balancing advice, to accept or reject as you see fit:  make sure the scum team's Curse power isn't a liability for them.  Cursing a townsperson could have the de facto effect of confirming that person as town while leaving them alive (and voting).  Scum could confuse that by Cursing each other, but then the Curse power has become a liability for them - not an asset.

This was one of the big problems we ran into as scum in Role Madness I.  We couldn't kill anyone outright, we could only kill by degrees - and anyone we tried to "partially" kill was basically confirmed town before we could kill them, and thus easy for town power roles to keep alive.

yep, they're annoying, nobody likes them.

Make sure that the post restriction is robust and makes sense even when the town and the person who has it tries to get around it, and that that doesn't break the game.

I gotta say the post restriction I had in BRMM (which I shouldn't discuss but meh :P) was pretty fun, if a bit difficult. Basically I had to say the opposite of what I meant, and I ended up reminding people by posting a big lie at the beginning or end of most posts.
