haha for a second there i thought you actually went and stickied it on every forum. but this could work too!
there are a few problems with the FAQ as i see it.
1. people not seeing it / knowing it exists
2. seeing it but not reading it (or reading all/most of it)
3. reading it but having a
slightly different question
4. people not realizing that we keep it pretty up to date with recent release information, more questions answered, tournament postings, etc.
the sticky helps #1, and there isn't much we will ever be able to do about #3. not sure what to do about #4. i don't really want to be 'that guy' and just have every comment i make be 'go to the FAQ'. but for #2, do you guys have any ideas? i throw a lot out there in the FAQ and i can see how the size could potentially be intimidating for the noobs. anyone have any input on better ways to lay it out? more/less posts, longer/shorter posts, maybe an index at the top?
and theory, depending on changes, it might be worth clearing out some of the non FAQ comments and requests.
