Hello. I have been a huge Dominion fan since I was introduced to it at MACE 2010. I hover around isotropic in the low 30s (I am 35 today yay).
I am an ameteur game designer and industrial engineer from North Carolina.

Welcome! Your nick name reminded me of an old skool kung fu movie. The One Armed Swordsman, with Jimmy Wang Yu. (yes, I watched a lot of kung fu flicks in the past, the old kung fu movies though, not the modern wire fu crap)

I based the name off of a news report about "one armed man" being a suspect in a case or walking around a mall or something. I liked how it sounded like a lot of things (the proper way of saying someone has one arm is "one-armed").

There was an old medieval popular melody called "L'homme arme" ("The armed man" in French) which basically every single composer wrote a Mass for back in the day (where "back in the day" is, like, the 1500s).  I presume the Jenkins piece is drawing from the same tradition?

Also, first thing I thought of was one-armed bandits, aka slot machines.

Yes, it's a modern mass based on medieval conventions. L'homme arme is one actually in two of the movements, though I believe Jenkins re-worked it some (and translated part of it) to fit in with the rest of the mass.

I was reminded of the Twin Peaks character (Mike), which HAS to be the ultimate reference. The Fugitive comes close though.
