I'm just curious if some of these areas have been explored, and what your thoughts might be:

Anti-Chancellor:

When you play this card, you may immediately shuffle your discard pile, and place it on top of your draw pile.

Card-Hunter: (Duration?)

When you play this, name a non-VP card. If the named card is played before the start of your following turn by any player, you may gain a copy of it.

City/Fairgrounds/Trade Route combination (Card "X" below):

Place a token on each of the starting kingdom cards. Anytime a card is gained for the first time, remove it's token and place it on a mat. Card "X" does A, B, or C depending on how many tokens are on the mat.

(The idea is to be a power-up card like city, that plays off Fairgrounds desire for unique cards, instead of piles drained. This is, I think, done best in a Trade Route fashion)

Anyway, just some thoughts on design space ideas that may not have much coverage yet.

Thoughts?

The anti-Chancellor does not do much…
But I like the Card hunter one. Although it seems somewhat swingy:
Morgrim plays a King's Court
…And plays a Card Hunter
……Naming the King's Courts
…And plays the Card Hunter again
ect.
and then…
Someone plays a King's Court
…Morgrim gains a King's Court
…Morgrim gains a King's Court
…Morgrim gains a King's Court
Maybe a cost limit? It really does not reward your opponent for setting up an engine...

You could simply change the wording (especially as a duration) to "while this card is in play" to prevent KC/TR. The idea is to be similar to Smugglers. It can gain higher cost cards, but it cannot gain VP (Harem/Duchy/Nobles, etc).

Also, the Anti-Chancellor isn't really supposed to be toi overly powerful. I think it could be MORE useful than Chancellor (especially in IW engines), but it shouldn't dominate. Just a unique flip on a pretty bad card. I don't know. You don't think it does enough?

Makes sense.
I really like the trade route thing.
CardName
$? Action
+1 Action
If two or more coins are on the CardName mat, +1 Card +1 Buy.
If Five or more tokens are on the CardName mat, +1 Card, you may trash a card from your hand. Gain  card costing exactly one more than the trashed card.
If eight or more tokens are on the CardName mat, +$2.
Setup:
Place one CardName token on every card in the kingdom. (not supply!!!) When a card is bought from this pile, move the token to the CardName mat.
