Well, the flavor paragraph says it all: A varied deck is a successful deck in base dominion.

No wait; that's cornucopia.

In base dominion, often the best strategies involve just one or two cards:
Smithy.
Festival/Library.
Witch.

Well, this time it's going to be the other way around.
Challenge: End the game on piles after buying a copy of each card in the supply.
You may empty the province pile, but at the end of the game three piles must be empty.
At the end of the game, a copy of each card from the supply must be in your deck.
The winner will be determined by the following scoring method:
Score=Points-5(Turns)
Only cards from base dominion can be used.
Deadline: June 14th. Will be extended if there are too few entries.

Bonus awesomeness will be awarded if you trash a few woodcutters because they were cutting down your trees

Is it mandatory to "buy" a copy of each card or can you also gain them?

A copy of each card must be in your deck, but it doesn't matter how they got there.

You guessed it!

I too received no entries.
Probably my challenge was too boring.

Anyway here's my idea on how the solo challenge board should work:

I think, that for this to actually be successful, there can only be one solo challenge at a time, perhaps with a week-long deadline.
So obviously, this board would need to be more heavily moderated.

So, somebody would make a solo challenge, and they send it to somebody for critiquing, and then they post it.
Then the winner of the challenge gets to make the next one, or, alternatively let someone else do it.

Any thoughts on this?

I like that Idea. Anybody else? We could get a list of critics (maybe experienced solo challenge hosters[or anyone else who feels up to it]) and have the page bookmarked.
And maybe you shouls run it by a couple critics before posting the challenge...

I definitely agree that there have been too many solo challenges, leading to low numbers of submissions (as I predicted). I don't know if having a moderator is the correct solution, though. Maybe it is. I don't have any better ideas though.
