Well I guess 5/2 open is more beneficial. As first domino to be laid down is the highest double, there is higher chance that it will be 5/5 than 4/4,3/3,2/2 so you have highest chance to chain with it.

So posts don't show up in the 'unread feed' either. Nevertheless, this doesn't really satisfy me. Though at this point I realize I'm being increasingly weird, and I don't expect to be accommodated.

So, I don't actually know domino rules other than matching the dots (pips?) on the pieces. :-P

So the problem is just know that they are there, waiting to be read?  Won't that exist on other forums as well?

Well, actually, for before mentioned reason, 5/2 are generally more worn out so 4/3 tend to have sharper edges which helps in the second stage of game, where the goal is to use pieces that you connected to dismember your opponents.

We are filling the void left by mafia I with discussion of domino strategy?  Seems on topic to me.

Interesting. It still took me less than 4 minutes to notice these.
So what does it do?
Um, nothing? I can see that there's a post been made, but it doesn't flash up blue. Should have checked to see if it posts it to my 'unread posts' - will do that the next time somebody posts. And if I click into the board, the 'new' stuff still shows up.
It doesn't show up in "Show unread posts since last visit" but does show up in "Show new replies to your posts."  You can still navigate to them as normal.  I ignore the Variants board myself.

I think from here on out, I'm more in favor of slightly smaller games. That way if we need replacements, we haven't tapped all of our resources. It also makes it easier on potential replacements as there will be less to read.

I would hate for anybody to be left out however, so if it were going to be 2 or 3 running games of 9, I would be good with that.

So wait, @1-1-1:

Town votes nolynch or is suicidal; neither Fire nor Ice can be lynched

Iff night:
Fire and Ice kill eachother, because targeting town either is no NK (both target) or they lose (other mafia kills them)

So fire and ice lynch town and live happily ever after?

the sole mafia win in MM is a hilarious game. guy tries to write a computer program to calculate percent chances of who's which Doctor. Program does so much more harm than good.

Medial Mafia seems fun (maybe a bit too chaotic though). And everyone is a PR so its cool (unless you get Weak doctor, that sucks  ;D).

Seconded.

Weak Doctor doesn't necessarily suck.  If you have some way of leaving a tell during the Day as to who you're targeting, and then mysteriously die in the night, the Town could put together the pieces and figure out the person you targeted was Mafia.

It really is chaotic though.  Which is probably a good thing to shake up us over-analyzers.  ;)
