I don't see why people don't just use "show unread posts".  I just go there, see all the threads I want to look at (I'm pretty selective), and open a million tabs.

This is exactly what I do (besides following mafia games I'm in through e-mail).

The mafia hangout and all this livestreaming of dominion gave me an idea. I wonder if it would be fun to go over old mafia games, the classics, in a live stream setting, analyzing what happened from hindsight, analyzing who played well and just generally walking down the memory lane. Maybe have two or three guys hosting it, and others could participate in chat, or even join in on the skype call.

Thoughts? Would this be interesting for anyone? It could also be a strategy talk session we've never really had outside of the games. In the game it's always difficult because you can't know if the other side is being genuine or not.

This might also help us to lure people who watch dominion streams into trying mafia, if it turned into a regular and popular thing, but that's of course thinking really far ahead. I think I want to try this if there are at least a couple other interested people and we can find a time that works for everyone.

Sounds like a lot of fun. I think my main hesitation is that I would like input from players who aren't around anymore (eHal, C-Frisk, etc...) as many of the games only have 2-3 of us who are active, but maybe that would be more fun with outsiders chiming in...

Okay, so there is interest, yay! The problem, as was with the mafia hangouts, will be finding a time that works for most people. I'm thinking we should try sunday instead of friday or saturday, because that's a day people usually have the least plans on, in my experience. This brings us to timezone difficulties with Australians and monday morning work, but maybe if we decide the time early enough in advance we can work around those too.

I would want at least one or two guys with me on the mic, to make it a conversation rather than one person narrating. Preferably, someone who's really funny, because making this entertaining is the best way to keep it interesting. I think our residing "have-been-in-every-game-and-is-awesomely-funny-and-well-spoken" Robzie would be an awesome co-host, but sadly he leads a very busy journalistic career these days, so I don't know. Axxle, you could offer a insight to comparing us to mafiascum, I think that would be interesting.

Really, anyone who wants to talk with me, of course, doesn't matter in the slightest if you are newer. Just saying we need someone funnier than me on the mic to keep people entertained.

Yes, I can do that. The speakers work fine just recording from my end woudln't work. I could very easily type along in the chat box or whatever. At the least I would be willing to do research/reading before and maybe present the "panel" with a series of questions/comments to get the ball rolling?

Awesome! I was just worried, because going through everything just by typing would be so much slower. You'll be able to participate just fine by typing, and pre-reading and questions sounds super
