Haven't heard, but I'm a little concerned. It's really not at all like him, especially since he was actively participating (and with some level of enthusiasm) right up until he went MIA.

It's not totally unreasonable to drive up the East Coast, though it would take a while, especially if you want to experience more than just the Great I-95.  How long do you have?

It's been 11 days. But Volt has a lot of work and family commitments, it's possible he's just been swamped. It's been a brutal flu season, and he has several kids running around IIRC. It would be nice for him to check in though.

Come visit me in Melbourne. Really! It's not THAT far away.

Okay, it's pretty far away.
You all live in such interesting places! I've never been to Australia and sure would want to. Kangaroos!

Bring a hot, female, single friend and you can come visit me.
I'll tell them about your castle and wealth, and leave out the part about the castle blowing up and everyone hating you, I'm sure they'll be lining up to join!

What I'm saying is, come to Boston, we'll hang out.
2nd'd.
If I'm not entirely mistaken about the location of this place, oh yes please! (Oh no, no one ever taught me any American geography, why would they have. But like 300 miles or so?)

It's not totally unreasonable to drive up the East Coast, though it would take a while, especially if you want to experience more than just the Great I-95.  How long do you have?
Oh, time I do have. What I don't have is a driver's license. :) Is the train network of any use there? Say between NY and Boston or whatever shorter distances there may be. I'm really fine with just flying too though, I've understood the tickets are pretty reasonably priced even if you only book them a couple days in advance?

Uhm yeah, lets hope he is alright and just busy. :/

Can't we all just come to Finland?

Finland, Finland, Finland
The country where I want to be
Pony trekking or camping
Or just watching TV
Finland, Finland, Finland
It's the country for me

You're so near to Russia
So far from Japan
Quite a long way from Cairo
Lots of miles from Vietnam

Finland, Finland, Finland
The country where I want to be
Eating breakfast or dinner
Or snack lunch in the hall
Finland, Finland, Finland
Finland has it all

You're so sadly neglected
And often ignored
A poor second to Belgium
When going abroad

Finland, Finland, Finland
The country where I quite want to be
Your mountains so lofty
Your treetops so tall
Finland, Finland, Finland
Finland has it all

I sang this entire song two days ago while playing Monty Python Fluxx. They couldn't shut me up! Bwahahaha!

Although, Ozle, I would've thought that the Lumberjack Song was more your style.

What you have there is a beautiful, beautiful train called the Acela Express, the train on which I once met Emma Watson.

(Met is a strong word, actually, but I saw her in the dining car, she smiled at me, and I completely froze up for several minutes.)

Alternately, you can take the Chinatown bus for $15 and the ride of your life.

Nah, just use it so you can take Arithmancy and Divination.

I love Harry Potter. I also love the logical holes in the plot.

Why do the bad wizards ever have to "fight" or "duel" the good wizards? The good wizards are prohibited from using "Avada Kedavra." It's an illegal curse. The bad wizards, obviously, don't care that it's illegal. It's also unblockable! So why would the bad wizards ever use any spell other than "Avada Kedavra?" There should be no back and forth fighting. The good wizard uses "Expelliarmus!" or something equally lame, and the bad wizard uses "Avada Kedavra." And the good wizard dies, because it's unblockable. End of story.

Maybe "Avada Kedavra" rapidly depletes your Magic Meter, or something. But if that's the case, it's something JK Rowling never spells out. (But perhaps only because she's too busy posthumously declaring characters gay.)
