I'm interested in trying some new games on Boite a Jeux. Particularly, I am interested in:

Deus
Vanuatu
Dungeon Petz
Trajan
Tzolk'in
Ginkgopolis
Myrmes
Town Center

That list is in approximate order of most to least interest. Deus is just a recent release that looks really neat. Vanuatu I'm only interested in because it's a Free Shipping game on Board Game Bliss that looks OK. The next 3 are games that have been relatively high on my radar but I've never gone for, for various reasons (Dungeon Petz is maybe too heavy for my group; Trajan too low on theme; Tzolk'in has that whole broken strategy thing). The others are more on the periphery of my radar, but still interesting.

For Tzolk'in specifically, I'd ask that any players not look up the broken strategy. I know of its existence but no more than that.

But yeah, anybody want to try Deus?

We may get a newbie or simple game going soon to accommodate new players. We have vets who prefer simple, too.

It is safe to assume the next few RMM games are not newbie-friendly.

While VLA, I played ~6 games of IRL Mafia and won all of them. It's surprising how much this carries over to real life Mafia, which seems much more stuck in RVS.

I have a friend there but he wont respond to my voicemails or facebook messages. We used to be good friends, now he doesn't acknowledge me. I don't get it, we both play drums, we both like video games, am I ugly? Am I annoying? I'm so lonely. Is there a right place on the forum for this discussion?

Oh, so I've got a friend who likes face-to-face mafia but hasn't played forum mafia. I was thinking I'd try to get him into it on here. He's even worse at Dominion than I am, but at least enjoys it.

Anyone planning a game that would be good for introducing someone to the concept of forum mafia anytime soon? I feel like Greater Idea might be a little too weird. Plus, I kind of want to play so I can call him scum constantly.

I think any game would be good as long as he has someone that will answer his questions. It's hard when you have a lot of questions.
