Searching for posts of specific users

Is there any way to search for the posts of a specific user? There's a "by user" option in search, but you can't search unless you also put something in the "search for" section.

This won't help you for paddyodoors, but you get into their profile (for example, by clicking on the link in their name), and then on the left there's a 'Show Posts' option.

I'm actually curious to be able to use it in conjunction with other features of the search (eg only seeing posts in specific subforums).

What ever happened to paddyodoors, anyway? They are showing him as a guest now. Did he delete his account?

That was the problem I was running into, and was hoping there was a solution.

In the search window, I can select certain players, and I can even select certain sub-forums. But it doesn't allow me to do a blanket search. I still need to put something into the search field, and if I don't know exactly what I want outside of "posts by the selected user(s)", it doesn't seem to let me. It doesn't accept a blank search query.

Faust has also been incredibly stubborn this game. In other news, it's hot in the summer, and water falls from the sky when it rains.

theory, is it possible to include some kind of filter option in either the search function or the show posts option on each profile? Filter=restrict the search to certain threads/subforums.

Google works if you really want to find something by a specific user.  The cache currently has copies of certain recent posts lists that are no longer available on this forum.
