Interest in Chess/Dominion Tournament

I’ve been reading a lot on the forums and noticed that there are some chess players.
I am a chess player (around 1700) and love blitz and rapid chess.

So lately I am thinking it would be awesome to have some kind of tournament where you play some blitz games against each other and some Dominion games.

Format:
Depending on how many players would like to play, I think the last IsoDom tournament had a nice format, a non-elimination Round Robin-type tournament.
Splitting all the players into divisions (by continent if possible).

So I think it would be fun if you meet up with your opponent, you play, let’s say, 5 games of 5min. blitz chess and 5 games of (random kingdoms) Dominion. Combine the scores and you have a winner. (Or a draw)
I think chesscube is a good free site to meet up to play the blitz games.
One problem is that there are maybe great rank differences among chess players. A 2000 player could easily win with 5-0 to a 1300 player.

So, I would like to hear from you guys what you think about this kind of tournament. Is the time format a good format for the chess games? Is the amount of games good?

I also would like to know if there is enough interest to start a tournament like this.

I'm a mid-2000s chess player, and I could potentially interested in this.

One interesting idea to consider in terms of pairings would be to try some kind of approximate equivalency between Isotropic rankings and Elo ratings.  It would be imperfect (a level 0 has an infinitely larger chance of winning a game against one of the level 40+'s than a 1000 has of beating a 2200, for instance), but it could give you an idea of seedings and what-not.

One other consideration is that you could look at overall match results (for chess and Dominion separately), such that a 5-0 drubbing in chess wouldn't hurt quite as badly as a 3-2 disparity.

Maybe it's on option to decrease the better chess players time. Something like 10 seconds per 100 elo points in difference.
I dont know if this is possible to arrange on a chess site.

I think I'd be up for this. (2300ish chess player, low 20s Dominion player.)

Centuries later, archaeologists discover the remains of your ancient civilization.

Evidence of thriving towns, Pottery, roads, and a centralized government amaze the startled scientists.

Finally, they come upon a stone tablet, which contains but one mysterious phrase!

'ISOTROPIC WILL RETURN!'

I think this would be a lot of fun. It's been a while, but I did play quite a bit of online chess a few years ago, and I think the highest rank I got to was between 1500 and 1600, and I'm currently at the highest Dominion level I've had (39, which I've achieved once before I think).

Actually, the online chess took up a whole bunch of my free time until I started playing online (free) poker, and after that I discovered Dominion. That one's certainly stuck the longest :D

I'd be in for sure, this sounds really fun. I'm about 1700 in chess and 29 or so in dominion. Time decrease would be fun and seems fair.
