Decks of only one card hijacked

sorry Jorbles!  ;D Your puzzle reminded me of one I came up with awhile ago and never posted.

You are in a 2 player game and have only 10 of one card in your hand/deck/nativevillagemat, no durations. Whats the most spending power you can get in one turn assuming you start with a 5 card hand?

I can think of only two solutions that beat 5X platinum

1: Pirate ship, derp. hit some ridiculous amount of treasure
2: Tribute; Hit: Nobles-Harem, Nobles-Action, Action-Action, Coin-CoinX7 = 30$

Well, if they were on a NV mat, 10x IW. First 2 gain TR/Bridge. Next one gains Great Hall, drawing TR. TR your 4th IW to gain Great Hall and Feast. Play the Bridge you just drew. 5th and 6th IW gain Highway x2. 7th IW gains Great Hall, drawing Highway, then Highway, then Feast. 8th IW gains KC. 9th IW gains Nobles, drawing KC. Play KC on final IW, gaining KCx2, and Nobles, drawing 1st Nobles. Play for 3 cards, drawing KC-KC-Nobles. Finally, play KC-KC-Feast, gaining Bridge x2, KC x1, second KC play on Nobles, drawing 3 and taking 4 actions, and last KC on Bridge. Then KC the final Bridge.

You should have 2 Highways in play, along with 7 Bridges. 8 total buys, and $7 coins. You could maximize at $78 buying power. Note, I did NOT use the extra action that NV gave me. I also omitted playing the GH's, since they don't effectively exist.

But I started with only 10 of one card, on my mat. Nothing else.

How do you define "spending power"?

Kinda Cheating:
10 Trusty Steeds?

@Galzria - but if they are on the mat, you cannot play them ;)

10 on your mat, plus a native village in your hand, which means you have two cards  ;)

It's pretty clear that I grouped them as a whole when I said deck/hand/mat. Otherwise you could just seperate deck/hand.

Err, are you suggesting that I could have cards hidden on my mat... But only if I then start the challenge with no Native Village in my deck/hand? By his putting the stipulation that they could be there, I made the (not logical, I guess?) assumption that I had access to them?

Ok. It is confusing that you would allow them to be there with no clear way of removing them, but if that's how you meant it, I'll see what I can do starting with 8 IW (5 in hand, 5 on mat, first 2 used to gain NV/Great Hall).

Heavily bending the rules: You can only have 10 of any one card in your deck/hand/mat.  But duration cards from the previous turn are in none of those locations!*

*That is, unless you count the play area as part of your deck... but then why wouldn't Hand and Mat count as well? :P  In fact, is the Discard part of your deck?

This opens up a few different strategies.  General ideas:

Fishing Village with KC or TR Wharf chain to draw a bunch of cards.  Note that you can't (for example) chain KC-KC because you need each of them to be attached to a Duration, lest some of them be in your discard afterwards.  This also ensures you can draw all 10 of X card in the main puzzle turn.

You can augment your next turn with FV, Lighthouse and especially Merchant Ship, probably with KC and TR abuse.

You can pop in a Tactician at the end for an extra buy, if so desired.

On the main puzzle turn, you should have enough actions from the FV to play 10 terminals.  So... Bridge?

Impressive. I'm pretty sure I can crush it though.... Combine native village with pirate ship  :P

Only 'cause you stipulated 2-player.  ::) I specialize in solo play!  ;) You might be able to squeeze a bit more out of my above solution if you gain Border Villages and Feast's at the end instead of bridges. Then use the last KC play on a feast, gaining 2 KC and another Border Village (gaining a draw card... Say Governor or Envoy).

I'm not sure if you could get anywhere with that, or would just end up spinning your wheels. My instinct is that you could come out ahead.

Still, it'll get crushed to the near infinite level of Pirate Ship

Once you are rolling with the gainers and drawing cards (and King's Court down to $4) you might be able to work in Workshop to gain more Bridges and King's Courts.

Yeah, it's tough. The loss of two Ironworks hurts a lot (really just a loss of 1, since I could drop the TR gain). I wasn't sure if I could get it rolling off that final Ironwork play, but if so having Workshop in there would make it go longer.

Although, kingdom is getting full:
Ironworks, Bridge, Native Village, Feast, Workshop, Great Hall, Highway, King's Court, Border Village, Governor (or Envoy) is 10.
