I play a Chancellor and two Golds, leaving a Peddler in my hand.  I buy a Farmland.  Do I get a Province, or squat?

You get a Province! Your Peddler costs $6 during your Buy phase, because you played 1 action. So your Peddler becomes a card costing exactly $8. You get a Province.

Haha, I always get confused with Peddlar, despite the clarity of the rules.

You get squat. While you were deliberating, a hawk snatched the last Province to add to its nest. You lose, sir.

I suppose if you're playing one of the 99.999999999% of games where this doesn't happen, then you would get a Province.

I was hoping the answer was no, so that the game I noticed the combo just as I bought the last Province using 8$ was less of a mistake
