And then there was Ozle....
« on: May 14, 2012, 11:47:50 am »

Hello,

My name is Ozle
Nationality: Tuvaluan
Height: 0.35 Rods (approx)
Eye Colour: Vermillion
Entrance Music: I wish I was a little bit Taller (Skee-Lo)
Favourite Cheese: Edam
Favourite Dominion Card: Knight (From Dark Ages)

Background: I was orphaned as a small child when raiders came to the my village and killed everybody and I was hiding in the woods at the time. I swore vengeance upon them, but after a few years I got a bit bored of that and went to work in a small town by the seaside. There my love of games was awakened by a the local Shuffleboard Championships. Once I had conquered all the locals I moved out onto the big wide world in search of new challenges.

Over my travels I have been to such exotic places such as Brazil, Africa and Milton Keynes and had many adventures such as racing pygmies on hippo’s, become the Earl of Maryland, and I once even won a fight with a Bear!

Alas though my travels could not last forever, and at the age of 26 I decided to settle down, maybe write a book of my travels and live off the proceeds. But this idea lasted even less time than the thirst for vengeance did and I was soon working a mundane 5 till 9 job for a criminal organisation that specialised in making counterfeit biscuits. In a scene scarily familiar to my childhood, one day the police raided our Nobhob factory and took away all the workers, while I was hiding in the woods, leaving me alone once more.

I wandered as a Vagabond for a bit (Not one of those amusing helpful ones, like the Littlest Hobo, but the mean drunking spitting one that would pee down your leg if you didn’t give any money). It was during one of these peeing incidents that I met a fellow tramp called Donald Irene Vaccarino, who in exchange for not glassing him offered to listen to my pitch for a new deck building game. I also suggested he change his middle name to an X to make himself a little bit more mysterious (And DIV didn’t sound too good). I’ve no idea what became of him, probably in a gutter still somewhere.

Anyway, then I found this place, and your stuck with me. Tough. Deal with it

WHAT?

I thought Natalie was my arch nemesis, back from the days of Shuffleboard exhibitions about the HMS Oolong-Baator (its real, look it up!) all the way through the homeless shelter race for the soup kitchen (To get the best bread)

Maybe I'm thinking of someone else, my mind isn'y what it used to be since I drank that petrol after mistaking it for flat Coca-Cola (other fizzy pops are available)

.....and then there was silence....

But it was shattered with a MIGHTY BOOM as the one known as Ozle made his triumphant return!

It may have only seemed like just over a week to the regular forum joes, but to Ozle it was nearly a lifetime due to his adventures across the time stream caused by a malfunctioning Waffle Maker.   He ha though, picked up all sorts of knowledge and wisdom (like never plug your Waffle Maker into a car cigarette lighter) and also bought a copy of Greys Sports Almanac from 2015 of some punk kid!

Will a 7-9 record allow the Seahawks to claim the NFC West that year?  I need something to get excited about again.

And there is no a Miami MLB team, though being in the NL with the Cubs, it looks unlikely they'd play in the world series. Or that the Marlins would have that wacky alligator mascot.

What, are you trying to tell me that Back to the Future isn't real?

What am I going to do now with all this Plutonium that I acquired off some Syrians? (I tried the Libyians but they are not so restless these days)

Nah, I'm pretty sure the Seahawks and 49ers will both be too good for someone to win that division with a losing record this year.  I think our best bet will be the AFC South this year.

Well issue 1: The pile is called Knights. I don't see an s in your post.
Issue 2: There is no card called Knight, or Knights, anyway. I mean srsly.

(But incidentally, hilarious introduction. Or very tragic introduction, not sure)

But not strictly better, because the spinoff can have a different cost than the expansion.

There is in fact a randomizer card with such a name. It's not a very strong card, though.

Hey Ozle, you could start a contest about guessing how many statements in your introduction are actually true. In any case, you're a very crazy person, but you probably know that.

There are at least 6 facts in there.

And I reject the term 'crazy' who can be considered 'normal' in this topsy turvy world we live. Well, actually I do, I know I am normal because the Jelly Man in the bowler hat and his pet Flamingo told me so.
