Revealing Provinces for Tournament

The rule book say: "First you get +1 Action. Then each player, including
you, may reveal a Province card from his hand. Then, ..."

This does not seem to be implemented this way in isotropic. When I reveal my Province, I have to choose the prize before knowing if one of my opponents has revealed a Province or not.

The difference between the two is quite important. Which one is right ?

I don't remember this being wrong in isotropic, but the card / rulebook is right.

I get to see that they have.

I'm pretty sure at one time I didn't know my opponent revealed a Province until after I choose the prize. However, I just tried a game with myself and this situation didn't happen, so I'll just consider this to be early senility from my part. Sorry for the post, then.

You're probably concerned because if they don't reveal one, it doesn't say "They don't reveal a province" - it doesn't say anything. But if they actually revealed one, it would show. So if you see nothing, they didn't reveal one.

If they're trying to wait to show it (or not paying attention, or afk), it will say 'waiting for opponent' and you can tell that they have one.

If you reveal a province, you gain a prize. If your opponent reveals one as well, you gain a prize, but the +1 card, +1$ part won't happen.

Right, but that's not what has been asked by the original poster.

In what order should provinces be revealed in multiplayer?  We've found situations where I would prefer not to reveal a province, provided that someone else will. We've played turn order starting with the dude that played tournament; is this right?

Any time something happens simultaneously for multiple players, and people care about order, it resolves in clockwise order starting with the current player.
