Just curious (and I'm sure it's somewhere in this forum already, but a quick look and I couldn't find it):

How are the titles under people's names determined on this site? Is it some sort of combination of respect and # of posts? With the more 'credit' getting cards that cost more?

I was unwinding today and thought I would look at the list of what cards were chosen, but couldn't find it anywhere.

Then there are two people with the title "Administrator". Must be a card from a future expansion.
Oh, and there are some weird, special titles, like "2011 Champion", "Isotropic Designer" and "Game Designer". Wouldn't bother with these users too much, they probably hacked the system and gave themselves these titles.

Also, I'm almost certain that "Adventurer" is going to be the highest rank that's actually in the system.  It's Theory's avatar, and it's also the only $6 card which is a singular person, so it basically has to be on top.

It also rules our plurals like Goons and Nobles.

Back in the days when I ran forums we had exactly the same problem and had to renumber them.

I used the opportunity to sneak in little messages or insulting words that only lasted for one post, for example:
300 - 398 Posts:  champion
399 Posts: I HATE YOU!!  (Alternatives were also along childish lines, "You smell", "Your momma...", "This poster is a moron"
400 Posts: Avatar.

The funniest thing was usually what happened when people saw them was that they made ANOTHER post to ask about it, and of course when they did that it moved them onto the next title. I'd deny all knowledge and promise to go away and look at the code.

We don't know if 3000 has something different to 3500 right now (and we'll have to wait until Kirian makes ~100 more posts, at time of posting), but we do know 4500 isn't anything special, as both eHalcyon (4.4K) and WanderingWinder (4.6K) are Cartographers.

Ooh, and I'm now 20th on highest post counts. Wonder if I'd go up or down if forum games were counted. Speaking of which, is it possible to check how many posts I have total theory?

No other way to check, but I'll turn on forum games post count on April 1 again!

Actually, I think I can get an estimate myself, using my stats page. I have 2.12% of the posts in Forum Games and 9.08% of the posts in Non-Mafia games. That works out as about 200 posts in Forum Games, and about... 3,831 posts in Non-mafia games. Yikes.

So if that's right my 'true' post total will actually be more like almost 6,000 (as I also have some posts in Mafia and maybe other places which don't count)
