In which order did you aquire the expansions? The stranger the better.
Here's my order: Base, Seaside, Cornucopia, Prosperity, Alchemy, Intrigue, Hinterlands.

I actually bought them all at once (Well, Hinterlands wasn't out yet), but I had been playing on Iso for several months.  Love playing in person though, there's just something about it that makes it more interesting.

Me and two friends got Dominion together.
One of my friends got Seaside, the other got Alchemy and I got Intrigue. I was happy I didn't get Alchemy at the time.

Afterwards I got Seaside and Prosperity in one go.

Still missing the rest, but I'm waiting for the final expansion(s) to come out,  so I know how big my suitcase must be to fit them all in.

My uncle (lives in Kansas--I live in Colorado) introduced me to Dominion with Base and Intrigue. Shortly after I got home, I bought Base. I was planning to pick up Intrigue next, but he convinced me to get Seaside since he hadn't played with it except for the cards available on BSW (my family was going to be seeing him again during our trip to Michigan for my sister's wedding and he wanted me to bring it along).

Not long after I got back, I ordered Intrigue and Alchemy together, and at some point in there picked up Stash as well as Black Market/Envoy; at this point I had all the released cards, around 400 plays on BSW, and had just discovered Isotropic.

From there, I bought everything as it came out--I even have a pre-order through Boards & Bits on the Base Cards set.

I got the big box from Amazon that includes Base, Alchemy and Prosperity. I also bought every other expansion when I ordered. When I decide to get a game; I go all out! The fiancee and I started with just the Base Set and then we added Intrigue a few days later. We just added Seaside this weekend and we are both really liking it. We're going in release order obviously and will probably add Alchemy soon...

Base (tempting to start with Intrigue but I love Gardens and Chapel so much)

I like not-Province centriic Dominion, but unlike many people I prefer alternative victory methods rather than colonies as the solution to that.  Admittedly I don't know what goes in which set far too well.

My roommate had Base, so I had played that a few times with him, then decided I needed to get my own copy.  I had also played a few times on BSW and read about the Intrigue cards online, so I went ahead and got them together.  Then I thought Alchemy looked cool (didn't know it wasn't a favored expansion).  I thought Seaside looked kind of stupid because of Pirate Ship and Embargo using tokens; then I realized I was just being silly.  I ordered Seasside and Prosperity a little bit (maybe a day or two) after discovering isotropic and trying some of the cards on there.  Then I ordered the promos the complete my collection.  Everything else, I bought as they became available.  Here's the order I bought them in:

A friend got Base and tought us the game. A week later or so we got Intrigue to complement it. Then the friend bought Prosperity. At this time we knew we wanted all the sets too, so we got our own Base and Prosperity and bought Alchemy, Seaside and Black Market/Envoy. After that we've gotten Cornucopia and Hinterlands as they were released. Still haven't gotten around to ordering Stash and Walled Village, though.

Then I found Iso and the forum.  Once I realized Donald planed to make a certain number of expansions I decided I'd rather wait till the game is "finished" and hope to buy a collectors edition that contains all the expansions in one box.  If that never happens I'll just be happy to pick up the official app. Speaking of which I should post asking if there is any plans to do that.

There are no plans that I know of. I have a friend with a complete set of prototypes who has a set of uh containers for them such that it's technically possible to carry them all at once, but man they're a burden. The actual cards are lighter if you don't sleeve them but still. It doesn't seem like the kind of thing you can get onto store shelves.

I started with Base + Prosperity together.  Some of the threads on BGG made me decide to wait on Intrigue.   However, after playing the game a little bit, I wanted to get Intrigue ASAP.  Next I obtained Black Market and Envoy.  Before I knew it, I had also purchased Seaside.

I attended Origins last year for the first time, and at that time I picked up Cornucopia, Stash and Walled Village.  I couldn't wait until Hinterlands came out.  (Neither could my wife.)  She had me put in a preorder for it.  Finally, I picked up Governor after that.

I never purchased Alchemy and don't think that I will, but August can't come soon enough to find out about Dark Ages, and I will definitely have a preorder in for it, too.

Alchemy should definitely be bought last IMO, I think it's a fine set to have but it should be as diluted as possible because you just don't want Possession or Scrying Pool every third game.
