[COMPLETE] Geronimoo's challenges - The Black Market

The intro got sucked into the Black Market deck...

Challenge: Finish the game in the shortest amount of turns by emptying the Colonies (buying/gaining them, you don't need to have them all in your deck at end of game). But... you are only allowed to buy cards from the Black Market deck.  To not make this impossible, you're also allowed to buy any number of Black Markets and Colonies, 1 Potion, 1 Silver, 1 Gold and 1 Platinum. Bonus points for emptying the Black Market deck! Choose your own kingdom (but you can't buy any of the cards except for Black Market).

One entry (as a personal message) only per person, deadline Saturday 5/5, GMT+1 9:00 a.m.

No, but cards in the kingdom aren't in the the BM deck  :D

If I acquire gainers (IW, Workshop, etc) from the BM deck, may I gain kingdom cards?  ;D ;D ;D

This challenge is awesome. It is fun thinking of what cards would be worst to encounter in the BM deck. Though, I think it would be even better if you had to empty the BM deck before finishing the game.

If the answer is "no" to cards like these, does it also mean no to Explorer, Bureaucrat, Mine, Trading Post, etc.?

Also, are you allowed to buy a Potion if there are Alchemy cards in the BM deck?

Sorry for all of the questions, but do all 8 Colonies have to be in your deck at the end of the game, or can you trash them?

I changed the description a little to clear things up:

-the Colonies pile needs to be empty at end of game. You can do this by buying or gaining Colonies. You don't need to have the Colonies in your deck at end of game.
-I added 1 Potion which you can buy
-you can gain cards from the board if you bought an Ironworks/Explorer... from the Black Market

Anybody else finding this one to be rather tricky...?

A quick note to anybody that may not know - In in effort to have as much control over my Kingdom on Iso as I can, I set up a Young Witch game (I'm not sure if gaining some sifting may be useful here) and declined until I hit a bane I wanted - After resigning that game, I hit the "repeat last game" next to the constraints field, and it added

to the end of my constraints. So while you may not be able to control the BM deck (I was hoping for a backdoor into that with "repeat last game TBH), you can control the bane.

Yeah, you can control the Bane with the "*" I think it is actually in the FAQ or somewhere. 

Another interesting thing here is that you can actually control the Bane for a Young Witch that appears in the Black Market.  As we all know, you can't control whether Young Witch is in the Black Market or not; however, if you specify Black Market and a Bane, you can generate games until Young Witch ends up in the Black Market, and it will honor your requested Bane.

Results!!!

Very few entries for this challenge. Too bad, because it was rather interesting and a lot less random than you might think. Galzria and Schneau had pretty much identical strategies and finished in 17 turns so they both win. Congrats!

They opened Black Market/Black Market hoping to find an Upgrade, Remake or Workshop as fast as possible to get stuff from the powerful kingdom without having to buy it. Pretty soon their deck would explode in a flurry of actions as if the Black Market was never there. Some people tried fair strategies that actually used the cards from the Black Market, but they were much much slower (25-27 turns).
