If you aren't familiar with the game, I'd describe it as a very satisfying puzzle experience. Very well suited to asynchronous play.

I would be willing to try, but not until some time in July.

Awesome. I'll set it up. We can take a 4th person, but 3 works.

The board is set up. Random.org says I go first, then fang, then Jimmmmm.

So fang, you are player 2 of 3 and Jimmmmm, you are player 3 of 3. Post here when you've got your tiles or if you have questions. Link in the OP.

I've read the rules but I won't be able to look at this properly until tomorrow.

Right, I've made a copy of my tiles, reordered according to the rules. And I've looked at the 6 revealed questions. So I think I'm ready.

This looks cool. Is it something one could follow/spectate very well if they’ve never played before?

The randomizer is interesting. Looks like you would have 100% identical games after the first 21 in a row, without replacing the template. (Or if it gets updated by any game mods who access it, then after several games the chance increases that you’ll have an identical setup to one of your previous games.) Though I assume that is easily detected and fixable.

Does a player answer their own question on their turn? Or do only the other players answer?

Sure. The asker does not share their answer to their question. If we get past 21, I can refresh the randomizer page.

First question:
How many black tiles do you have?

Identical games is only an issue if the players are same, and even then they might have a different player order.

It looks like someone redid the setup. That's ok, but make sure you have the right tiles noted. Keep same player order.

Ok, yes, it has changed! Noted down my new numbers.
With the public link, I guess anyone could meddle and change it any time. Should we keep our own records of the available questions also, then we can continue the game even if it gets changed again?

Spectating, you can choose how much info you want to know! No info, or all info, or from one player's viewpoint.

Oh yeah, I suppose someone could totally do that here.
And now that I’ve read the rules- in only 4-player you do answer your own questions.

Hmm, just noting it all down isn't enough is it - if someone re-randomises then the concealed tiles change, which ruins it.
So either we need a mod, or a private copy of the spreadsheet available to players only. Or trust that no-one will ruin our game accidentally or intentionally!

We could reconstruct the game at any time, though, because we still have the randomization information for the original. I didn't do that this time, but I could have. I also noticed that the questions didn't get randomized. But that's ok since it's our first game. Maybe keep a record of what questions you have asked.

I could in the future send the link when we have players and just change it each time. Spectators could have it, too.
