League of Shopkeepers + Innovation/Royal Carriage

So, in the wiki, there is a rules clarification under League of Shopkeepers stating:

Quote
  • If you have 3 Favors, and you use Throne Room an Underling, you only get +$1 from League of Shopkeepers.
  • But if you have 3 Favors, play an Underling, and then replay it with either Royal Carriage or Citadel, you'll get +$2 from League of Shopkeepers.

I don't understand this. Why would you get +$2 with Royal Carriage or Citadel? Why wouldn't it be +$1? Because on your first play of Underling, you only have 4 Favors afterwards. Then you play it a second time, and after that point you have 5 Favors, so only the second play should get the bonus, right? Why would that work differently than Throne Room?

Because you can order the two simultaneous effects:
  • after you play a Liaison, if you have 5 or more Favors get +$1
  • after you play an Action, you may call Royal Carriage

So you play Underling, then you can do (1) and (2) in either order. You do (2) first, call Royal Carriage, so you play Underling again. You can again do (1) or (2) in either order from the second Underling. Let's say you don't call another Royal Carriage, so now you just get +$1 from item (1) from your second Underling. NOW you go back to item (1) from your first Underling, and lo and behold, at this point you have five Favors, so there you go.

Ah, that makes sense. Thank you!

The same goes for Circle of Witches:
Let's say you have 2 Favors after playing a Liaison, then Royal Carriage it, and now you have 6 Favors. Now you can deal 2 Curses to each player.

and Fellowship of Scribes:
You have 8 cards in hand, and play a Horse Traders. Now you have 5 cards. You Royal Carriage the Horse Traders, and end up with 3 cards. FoS lets you draw a card twice.

None of these seem to work online.
