Just learned a new trick from dominionfan457 (rating=56). Instead of resigning, try to undo back to the very beginning of the game. If that doesn't work, then just disconnect.

I didn't even know that was possible. I had a game once that reverted back to the start after an undo, but I assumed at the time that it was some weird glitch. Now I'm wondering if that person did this. I can't remember who was in the lead when it happened
