I think Tale (as in a storyteller) and check (as in a bank teller) are pretty obvious here, but I'm not seeing a clear third.

Let's lock in TALE.

CHECK is a good 2nd.

Another for bank teller, FIGURE, since they work with numbers.

Then there's also Penn and Teller, so something magic related, like RABBIT.

Check

I like figure as a third. I don't know who Penn and Teller are, so I'm no help on that one. Would Swowl know who they are?

they are pretty well known magicians - vegas, tv specials. You've really never heard of them? Penn is a big guy, Teller is small and he never talks.

I think they're well enough known (that I'm surprised you've never heard of them).

Just not sure if I like it enough for a guess. Maybe we go figure first, and save rabbit as a future bonus guess?

Yeah. I don't think figure is blue or the assassin, at least. Figure

Or Round, since clocks are often round and the hands go round and round.

Or Pass, because time passes.

I like WALL - ROUND actually.

Oh yeah, round  :D That makes sense...

I don't know, Wall - Round could just as well have been clued with Drill.

I think I would go with Round, but I am not really certain enough to think that a second guess is worth it after that.

By the way, as I have been wondering, and not being a spymaster seems like a good time to ask this: Do we have a consensus on whether full names are allowed as clues?

My vote is no. One word only.

I think it creates a weird slippery slope where I could say Bob Miller Green, which is plausibly a name, when really I just wanted to give the clues bob, miller, and green which point to different words in the grid.

I mean, I trust everyone here enough to believe it wouldn't be abused. The opposing spymaster could always challenge such a clue. Right now, I could also say "Apym", which is plausibly a name, but I just want to clue Apple, Paper, Yacht, Mice.

But I am also okay with disallowing it; I just wanted to have a ruling one way or the other, as the official rules don't give a definite ruling.
