Sorry, not Swowl. LaLight though.

Unvote because Swowl isn't pinging me on my reread.

I think it’s far easier more likely for scum to hide behind the artifice of false indignation over the existence of off-topic fluff posts than it is for scum to continuously go through the effort of making them. It’s the easiest of ways to appear pro-Town without actually committing to anything game-relevant.

I’m happy with my Chairs vote right now.

Galzria is right here -- but it doesn't seem like we really followed up on that. Is chairs the best example of this?

Well, it seems like in the absence of folks uninterested or unable to scumhunt, that voting for the anti-town folks is a pretty good fall back.

This is both a wrong and scummy thing to say. Town should never normalize voting for someone for any reason other than "I think their name is more likely than not  to flip red". If we do, we give scum a free pass to participate in a misexile and not be held accountable for it.

I think we should be looking at everyone who jumped on the "distracting fluff" is scummy argument, including Didds, Space, and Swowl.

You misunderstand me, I think. I’m never anti-fluff and in the post you cite I’m saying anti town is scummier than not.

I don't think the posters-of-fluff are particularly likely to be scummy, but I don't really think the mad-about-fluff people are necessarily scummy either. If that's the case against chairs I especially don't like it.

Ok, I did a reread and I'm going with Vote: chairs

People have been voting for chairs all day, but not at the same time, so those votes have not added up to a chairs wagon.  As a result, basically no one has defended chairs.

As much as we like to point to partner defenses on day 1, it's much more likely that scum tries to avoid defending their partner on day 1, especially if they don't need it.

I think chairs and MiX are scum together and chairs is the obligatory actual scum on MiX's fake scum team. chairs' posts haven't struck me as particularly scummy but nor have they struck me as at all townie, and I trust the reads of several people who have voted chairs. So I think that's our best bet for today.

If you're voting for me and your name isn't MiX, I'm gonna want to know why and whether you actually think I'm scum or just good enough for a D1 exile.

Why is chairs scum? Because everyone scumreads him? That's a terrible case.

Everyone scumreads him and no one's defended him, yet a wagon on him hasn't stuck. That's a great case.

The best way to defend your partner day 1 is just to ignore votes on them and make a lot of noise about voting for someone else.

That's a mediocre case, but better than the one on me.

Vote: chairs

Who's scum: the person who's trying the least, or the person who's arguably trying the most?

The answer may surprise you.

MiX, why are you always saying things about someone's alignment as if your reads are always 100% correct, although you were proven wrong a number of times?

Because I'm been correct and dismissed my own correct reads many more times.

Chairs is anti-town town.

yeah, but you work alone, you never work with town. You say things to discourage people for voting for other people without any argument whatsoever.

Ooo, the claws come out. Finally.

I'm Town and I'm not changing my vote. Also, exile me if you must but don't expect me to claim or anything, I spent a few hours in the ER last night and so now I'm staying with family a few days while we see how much my new medicine jacks me up (gall stone, nothing "serious") but I don't have a phone charger so this is probably my last post of the Day.

Ok, I'm willing to hammer chairs, but MiX's reaction here to chair's wagon seems scummy, even if they aren't partners, like he's included chairs as part of his 100% scum team, but then on other occasions when someone else called chairs scummy, MiX questioned them on it. It's like he's listing chairs as a scumread but then hedges to A) avoid looking scummy if chairs flips green or B) avoid pushing a partner through to exile.
