8 points means too much variance available to guess the town roles, but once we inevitably find out one or more it will probably get easier.

Framer means there's at least 1 cop-like role.

Strongman means at least 1 doc.

Yeah this isn't helping. Seems to be one of the many standard setups this game gives us.

yeah the not helpful part is where I arrived at as well.

Only things of distinction I could come up with:

1. They took the strong man kill. So we can hopefully plan on having a Groot within Town.
2. They took Framer instead of Loki. Which would suggest an aggressive approach to the cop existence situation.

I am trying to come up with a plan for the Groot approach... but I can't think of a good one.

Also they have Ultron (role cop). IDK if that should effect how we do claiming, but we should probably be weary of claiming at L-1 unless it is like absolutely needed. Every night Ultron is alive they will already be getting 2 checks worth of PR info (one from kill and one from Ultron check). So every day we choose to run someone up, have them claim, and lynch elsewhere... that is 3 people they get results on.

I like this reverse engineering plan, but I'm not sure about the Framer and Loki being quite that much of a trade-off. Looking at the set of scum roles, there are only two for odd numbers of points, and since they have 5 points worth of roles, that means either a Loki and two Ultrons, or a Loki and only one other two-point baddie.

If I get some time, I'll put together some code to give me all the possible game setups and likelihoods, though given that our roll likelihoods aren't all that asymmetrical, it's probably nothing too unexpected.

We could reverse engineer what roles are likely in the game based on the choices that skum made for their powers?

Normally, that would be an insta pass I know... but since skum literally knew the roles in play prior to their selections... it is not really giving them any info they don't already have.

TBF I also do not know how helpful mapping it out would be for us... thoughts?

I like this approach - I mean even if not helpful, I don't see how it can hurt.
It will give them information about who doesn't have certain roles. Which seems to matter them, since they chose the rolecop.

I still don't see the harm, but in case I'm missing something, I'll just enumerate the point combinations (people can just replace the points with roles fairly easily on their own anyway):
