Can you Seize the Day on your Fleet turn? (Spoiler: No)

This came up in a game I was spectating: the kingdom contained both Fleet and Seize the Day, and so someone wondered aloud "Can you Seize the Day on the Fleet turn?"

It seemed to me like it could go either way. On one hand, Seize instructs you to take another turn after this one and its only restriction is "once per game". On the other, ahem, the game is over (as stipulated by Fleet having been triggered).

So I built a board to bot-test it, aaaaand (suspense) the answer is No. The game ends when all players finish their Fleet turns.

This is covered in the rulebook for Renaissance actually.

Quote
Other extra turns, such as from Outpost (in Seaside) can happen in-between those turns; however after the last extra turn due to Fleet, no other extra turns can happen (since e.g. Outpost does not keep the game going after it ends).

Basically, Seize the Day can't prevent the game from actually ending.  If the game is over, then you don't get an extra turn after this one exactly like how in a game without Seize the Day, you don't get your regular turn after your opponent's turn in which they ended the game.

Yeah, that's essentially what I thought as well. But even Stef wasn't sure (and he was one of the players being spectated). So I figured I may as well post the empirical test result :)

I think it is a little bit complicated, but if i remember a long discussion correct, Donalds ruling was, Fleet FAQ says other extra turns can happen, so those triggered then also happens for all players except last Fleet player.

If at least one other player has their Fleet turn left after you, you get your extra turn.

Other way around is possible, not?
Playing STD and then Fleet means 3 turn in a row.
Playing Outpost, StD and Fleet means 4 turn in a row.

It's only in a row if it's your last turn AND nobody else bought Fleet.

I think this is incorrect.
You can get 3 or 4 turn in a row even if other player bought Fleet.
But only if you are the player ending the game.
Other player(s) who bought Fleet also can get an extra turn also after you finished the game.

Do you mean if your normal turn is the last normal turn in the game? If other players bought Fleet, they will get their Fleet turns before you. The game continues around the table after the game "ends" normally. (You can see how Fleet works in the rules document in my signature.)
