Ferry (and all cost-reductions) have no effect once Wayfarer changes costs.

If you haven't gained anything, Ferry on Wayfarer costs $4.

But if you gained Village, Wayfarer's cost becomes $3, and Ferry doesn't change anything.

In contrast, if you gain Village, then put Ferry on Village, Wayfarer now costs $1.

Why? Why does a cost reducer played after Wayfarer's cost change do not apply to it? Wayfarer says "same cost as last other card", so when that other card costs changes later, why should that NOT be true for Wayfarer also? (Remodel into Village --> Wayfarer costs same as Village) OK, maybe it is intended to interpret it to the costs in the moment of the gaining so it does not matter what the other card costs later, but still why does a Bridge played later do apply to all other cards but not Wayfarer?

We have to somehow apply both "Bridge lowers costs" and "Wayfarer sets its cost." We shouldn't apply Bridge twice. So Bridge applies before Wayfarer.

Bridge played later, by applying to all other cards, affects Wayfarer. You gain a Silver, play Bridge, now Wayfarer costs $2.

Thanks. That clears that.

Remains the question about the -2 cost token on Wayfarer pile: Does that lower only the base cost (6*) or applies all the time? Added to previous example (-2 cost on W, Silver gained, then Bridge played) would Wayfarer then cost 0?

Ferry on Wayfarer means Wayfarer costs $4, until you gain something, then Wayfarer has the cost of the gained card.

The effects contradict each other; one of the effects has to win.
