During a recent game a grabbed a Princess through the Tournament and Province combo. I thought this would be nice since Kings Court was also available. I later played KC with that Princess expecting to have all cards -6 cheaper. This was not the case as I just got the normal -2.  Why would this be?  Thanks in advance.

There is an important distinction between playing a card, and a card being in play.

Although you played the card three times over, there's only one of it in play. The cost reduction is "below the line": it's not something that happens when you play it; it's something that happens while it's in play. Since there's only one of it in play, you only get the effect once over.

Compare and contrast Bridge with Highway. If you use King's Court on a Bridge everything gets $3 cheaper; if you use it on a Highway, everything only gets $1 cheaper.
