What's everyone drinking?
Inside Job

I have everything I need to make this except for maraschino liquer. Will the syrup from my cherries work?

I'm drinking bourbon in spirit. You guys have good taste.

We do!  When you come to Texas, we'll take you out. Real tacos, good drinks.

My name is not Edward, either.  Neither is Debatepro.  But Eddie is my very favorite nickname.  As I said when it was born (whatever happened to Simon Jester), it is EVERYTHING!

Yes... plus a little extra bourbon, so you don't miss out on the alcohol.

It will.  It would be better with the liqueur, but you are two drinks in so who cares?

I'm always looking for books. When you read for your work and read for fun...it requires a lot of books!

I just read the new Ann Leckie novel, Raven's Tower and it was great.

This makes me want to spam you with book recs but I'm going to leave it with the wide appeal fantasy book for now and suggest other things some other time. But that's a book I was thinking would appeal to some people on this forum anyway (and that I finished recently), it might make a good mafia game.

I lied, I will also have to sub in honey for the simple syrup. I probably am not going to attempt this tonight, but I've bookmarked it for the future.

I have a bad habit of spamming too many things.

I also have a bad habit of coming up with too many dumb ideas for mafia flavors, none of them good.

Also, Joth, how much did you like the idea of using Long Way to a Small Angry Planet/Closed and Common Orbit/that other one as an RMM theme? Was that a good idea or was I just throwing random thoughts out there and you were being nice?

I think Long Way is probably the best option. You have a set group of characters.

what else?...at night each alive Mafia will independently PM me their preferred kill.  It only happens if they agree.

I really liked 5th season last year but haven't gotten around to the 2nd one yet. I have the other two though.

I really kind of hated 100,000 kingdoms when that came out, and I'd read a few Jemison short stories which ranged from *shrug* to "ehhhhhhhhh" but read Fifth Season for book club and really liked it a lot.
