Oh, I've been counting spaces. So something like "parity of number of words is the same as parity of number of letters" would be equivalent to what I was trying to say.

Also, I keep confusing myself on punctuation because the questions with apostrophes in them are long. Let's try this:

You're?
We're?
Were?

I haven't checked every single question, but this seems consistent with the ones I have.

Guess: Number of letters + Number of words is even <=> yes

<but if it is this, then Scott got it at #137, just without saying 'guess'>

Actually, I'd 4gotten one of my experiments.
It could also be:

Guess: Number of alphanumeric characters + Number of words is even <=> yes

hah, I was phrasing it as "the number of words with an even number of characters is even" but those two conditions are equivalent. (With both, adding an odd-numbered word does nothing, and adding an even-numbered word flips it). So, correct! Well done.

Was this rule too hard?

Was this rule too hard?
I can't really comment as I was absent for most of it and Scott did the hard work. After #127 it didn't seem too hard; I'd had thoughts of similar rules.

It seems like these three are equivalent, the only difference being what counts as a character:
- parity of number of words is the same as parity of number of letters (scott)
- number of alphanumeric characters + number of words is even (me)
- the number of words with an even number of characters is even (silverspawn)

But I'm going to claim it anyway. 8)
I have a rule

Oh, parity. That's what parity means. Yes, then scott was trying to say that, but he never made a correct official guess.
