"Tournaments may offer Promo cards as prizes."

This sentence (on the Wiki) took me waaaay too long to parse. Then I realized "prizes" was lowercase.

In all seriousness, what if some of the Promo cards were Prizes? The two best candidates seem to be Prince and what-you-get-when-you-turn-Summon-into-a-card.

Black Market as a Prize: If you think Tournament isn't swingy enough.

what-you-get-when-you-turn-Summon-into-a-card.

Wouldn't that be a bit close to Cobbler?

Right. Just Prince then. I'm not sure about Black Market because it will literally let you buy one or two ordinary cards; it might be okay as a lower-end prize.

Probably more than two, and those ordinary cards can be Goons, King's Court, etc. I'd get it over Diadem and Bag of Gold a lot, and sometimes over Followers.

Governor might be pretty good as a prize.

Sauna + Avanto would be tops!  Here, I'm thinking they should be gained as a pair, as opposed to having 2 separate instances to gain each one.

One of each? Because that seems a bit lackluster.

If we're talking about multi-card prizes, you could offer Village Idiots as a prize: each Village Idiot is just a Village, but the prize is a complete stack of ten.

That would be an extremely powerful Prize.

Powerful? Yes. Situationally the best Prize? Yes.

But it's nothing like as powerful as Champion, so not completely broken!

(Plus, I wasn't being entirely serious.)
