Yeah the setup was awesome. The day where we had three claimed cops, one clearly lying and a secret fourth cop, that was mafia at it's most enjoyably insane. This is a game to bookmark.

That was unnecessarily painful, but I'll take the result. :P

Vote for MVP goes to Mcmc.

Not the best game from much of anybody on either alignment. This game was a mess - but it was also super fun. Apologies again for my absence D2 - but it probably worked out for the best, as I definitely would've pushed a Hydrad lynch over a Gkrieg lynch based off scum reading LaLight stronger than e! or Datswan, and Hydrad being LL's most likely partner - and thus the best lynch to my mind if we weren't lyncing in the cops.

Woohoo town!! Definitely some sub-optimal play on both sides. But a really fun first game back!

Joseph was in a tough spot here. Killing mcmc and then playing up my paranoia about that last game where I mislynched him in the end might have been his best move. Hard to tell.

Very well played by mcmc. Good job by Awaclus, too.

I'm taking this as a sign that town should want short Day 1s ;)

It was a great plan. And actually, I felt like this setup may have been a little imbalanced in favor of town. Scum made some mistakes, but I think if town had played a little better it would have reeaaaally difficult for scum to have any chance.

Mafia: https://www.quicktopic.com/52/H/b64XT6pC8kW
Speccy: https://www.quicktopic.com/52/H/3GcNrVv6L8r57

I think Awaclus and McMcsalot both played this game pretty well, so I could really see MVP for either of them.

Awaclus: he tried a really unusual thing that had a chance of a pretty antitown result, but in the end it ended up helping town a lot and created the gamestate that led to the successful gkrieg and e lynches.

McMcsalot: I've seen a lot of ICs underperform in the role by holding back too much information so that other townies get close to no utility from them. Often ICs just get bored because no one suspects them and don't really try that hard. But McMcsalot played really thoughtfully and made sure the final scum was locked down.

I'll go ahead and make this thread a poll and y'all can decide.

It did feel a little townsided, which was a small bummer for me because my last setup of my own making also ended up feeling a bit townsided and gkrieg ended up being scum in a tough position in that game too. Sorry gkrieg!

If I ran this again or if someone else ran it, I would recommend having three full mafia: 2x framer, 1x godfather. That way they can all talk, decide who should claim cop if needed, and uh not bus each other without meaning to.

Am I reading wrong, or did the mafia believe (at least night 1) that their goal was to AVOID killing the traitor? Loooool

From what I see, thing would have been exactly the same had Awaclus claimed as normal, since e had already claimed at that point. How do you think it helped town?

Well yes, killing the Traitor is usually suboptimal for scum.

I dunno, scum really botched their reaction to the plan. I don't know how townsided this would have been otherwise.

Also, no MVP consideration for making up the plan? :(

my QT

sorry. I was really salty about wrong gkrieg read and haven't read EoD and haven't thought about the target.

By the way, since when do we have an action window? In most of my games you can post actions up to the Day Start, what's wrong with that?

Well an earlier action deadline means that the mod can preplan the day start post (and giving results etc.), in case they don't have a lot of time when the day is supposed to start. Actually I thought those deadlines were fairly standard, though admittedly they are more important in RMM settings.
