what is Hydrad's scum meta?

I couldn't tell you.  I have never been good at keeping metas straight in my head.   I will conflate people, remember incorrectly, or something.  But when I see something scummy, I call it scummy.  And that is what I see in Hydrad here.

So as far as the plan is concerned. We now have 3 cops who know their sanity. There are sill 2 framers and there is no way to tell if a player has been framed.

What is the best way to use the three cops? I guess the most important thing would be to target 3 different people and only trust “town” or insane “scum” results.

If it works out we are theoretically going to open tomorrow with 2 cops and possibly 2ic’s, then one cop and 3ic’s.

what is Hydrad's scum meta?

My meta for scum is this. Either a) heavy lurking.

Or b) posts feeling very forced.

Basically as scum I have a hard time posting and when I try to post to make it look like I'm not lurking the posts look pretty forced and with almost no content.

I've known this is my meta for years but the reason I'm a bad scum player is that even though I know my meta I can't break it.

Now obviously you probably won't beleive me but figured I'd let you know

For anyone else, such a statement would be a scum tell.  For Hydrad, it's simply a tell that you're reading something from Hydrad.

As far as this goes, coordination is not going to work because then scum knows who to frame. My opinion is we each just target who we feel needs to be investigated and go from there.

Not really much discussion needs to be placed here though

This is a good plan.  I guess scum has no way to flip their own guilty read, so a town result will always mean a town person, where a guilty result doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Oh, true.  Still means that a town result is almost IC.  Scum result is still a 50/50 chance the person is scum.

Also they follow Town Win Conditions until/if they are recruited right? how does that work with "making up 50% of the remaining players"? Does an unflipped traitor help towns wincon?

Day 1 was a quick hammer and day 2 was claiming for most of it and until claims were done I didn't think posting was very useful. As for lurking I mean as scum I would probably have less then one post a day.

As for feeling forced posts I guess I can't tell myself. I've just noticed that when I have felt like I need to post something it's not uncommon that someone mentions how my post feels forced. And they are almost always right. So ya while I don't think I've had to force a post this game I can't be the judge on myself.

I did a reread of Hydrad last night. There's not too much there, and they've been evidently confused about the setup/other stuff a couple times. They took a solid stance in favor of Faust's plan, which was a good thing but most everyone else who commented was also in favor. DThey participated a little in claim order suggestions, and their contributions seemed alright. Weird and bad disappointment when there was no counterclaim from scum. Overall I'm getting a clumsy town vibe, nothing has felt particularly scummy in a sinister way. But also, just not a lot of content.

But I also want to say that I do not know Hydrad's meta or how this relates to other games at all. I realize this isn't the strongest stance I could take but I am not great at judging the scumminess of players who are playing rather suboptimally. It's definitely not a lynch I oppose.

This reminds me a little of Morgrim back in the day, who was frustrating. He was often mislynched, but he wasn't the worst townie to mislynch because sometimes he would make a sideshow of things.

Gkrieg, e basically answered this when I asked a similar question at the beginning of the day.

Y'all quicklynched ON MY DRIVE HOME. Quicklynches have ALWAYS been a bad idea? Is this where 4 years of mafia experience have led? That was a bad quicklynch.

Annoyed at Robz for suggesting, annoyed at e for hammering.

Gkrieg, why did you think an immediate lynch was a good idea?

Tbh I'm still suspicious of Galz - he got off the wagon which he may have known would eventually come under a lot of scrutiny.

Iguana I really love waterfalls so thank you for those.

I know I have had initial gut reads that I second guess over and over and then turn out to be scum in the end after I defend them.  I had the opportunity to force a lynch through based on initial gut reads and I decided to take it.  It definitely changes the dynamic of the game and holds people accountable for their votes.

I know you said you're out today and will try to reread tonight - when you do that I would love for you to give some reads and give some stances. I just did a reread of every post you've made in the whole game thus far and it took about 20 seconds. And a lot of it was Information Instead of Analysis, which is exactly what the post above is. If you are town, I believe you can be more helpful than this. If you are scum, I do not want you to be able to lurk your way out of a lynch/into a win.

This is kinda his playstyle. I am massively leaning that Joseph is town, townier than anyone in this game just because of this. Have you two met?
