I am really not sure the PPS slip was a scum slip. It's limiting future fakeclaims later if he is scum. It seems like it was really unthinking, which feels slightly more town. Dumb move, but it's not a lynch I love.

Well, you should be be aware of this: PPS has done some weird claim things as scum.

This QT is of when I was scum with PPS some games ago. If you read the beginning, it showcases scum!PPS's obsession with claim pretty well.

Indeed, that's precisely the game I was thinking of.

I would be sort of in favor of quick lynching PPS, actually. Take that, long day 1's!

Bleh. Still scummy, but honestly this post does not a case make, and my voting you based solely on this is lazy. My standards are higher than that.

Well, I guess I should have clarified although I assumed it was strongly implied: I am not scum, either.

So, yeah, no, but ok, because at least we aren't going to mislynch a PR who's just here to fuck everything up for everyone, anyhow. Let's make sure we keep those guys alive!

This is unfortunate. (also, reading the quicktopic - was this sexism mafia or something?) I rescind any town points I gave. PPS even specifically said that as scum he enjoys putting suspicion on himself D1.

PPE: PPS the best thing you can do to keep them alive is to keep as much mystery surrounding who they might be and you absolutely know that

You assume I'm not lying town or maybe I am mafia and I am truthful in claiming to not be a cop (which can equally be true for faust). It's fine, I've grown accustomed to being punished for playing against some presupposed script. I'm the clear D1 lynch so there's no real point in arguing that I haven't somehow forced a mod confirmed outing of anything at this point.

The general gist of this line of play is to make it quite clear that i am town because, well, I'm really not this idiotic as scum, at least not in this particular way.. that special sort of idiocy applies to getting out of some slip or something. If I convince the majority I am, in fact town, not only do I avoid getting lynched but I setup as a convenient NK on the weak wifom of not being a cop but clearly town.

But, I suppose the best convincing I am town is to flip town.

In 2004, Forks, Washington was a sleepy, forgotten town on the north side of the Olympic Mountains. Separated from Seattle by snow caps, the citizens of Forks faced steadily declining lumber prices, and many felt they had little choice but to move the city. When they were "saved" by Stephenie Meyer choosing Forks for the setting of the Twilight saga, one could also argue that they lost the dignified death they were due. These days, Forks is overrun by Twilight Fans, not only from Seattle and Portland but from all over the world. Forks embraces them, because what choice do they have?

pingpongsam was Forks, a vanilla town.

Roughly halfway between Seattle and Portland was never a good place for Longview. The only question was whether the sea would rise quickly enough in order to swallow up Seattle before Seattle and Portland could both swallow up Longview.

Alas, it didn't work out that way. Seattle and Portland expanded along the Pacific coast until Longview was indistinguishable from either of them. Soon, only the historians knew what this town used to be called.

faust has died in the night. He was Longview, a vanilla town.

Y'all quicklynched ON MY DRIVE HOME. Quicklynches have ALWAYS been a bad idea? Is this where 4 years of mafia experience have led? That was a bad quicklynch.

Annoyed at Robz for suggesting, annoyed at e for hammering.

Gkrieg, why did you think an immediate lynch was a good idea?

Tbh I'm still suspicious of Galz - he got off the wagon which he may have known would eventually come under a lot of scrutiny.

Iguana I really love waterfalls so thank you for those.

I just really wish we had more time to discuss a cop plan, if there was going to be one. As it stands, IF all the cops investigated Faust I do think they should claim, but of course we can't know if they all did without people claiming. We're in a frustrating position and it's the quicklynchers' fault.

Robz, why would you say this? The evidence was not overwhelming. A prior history of scumslips does not mean that claiming VT early in the game is a scumslip. I understand he'd made mistakes in this and past games but that doesn't mean that every mistake = scum. This felt very Morgrim to me.

And I demand an explanation for why you wanted to do it fast, asap, with no further discussion.

Well, I was joking about the finger of suspicion.

Actually, quick lynches are sometimes good, we have had some success there. My thinking has been that  as day one goes on, scum can always position themselves to be okay, and so a quicker semi random lynch short circuits that. Also I was getting a scummy vibe from pps, weird claim stuff makes me think of scum pps, and also we had a plan in place. So actually I felt pretty good about it, though I wish he had been scum.
