Wish/Royal Carriage interaction?

Online, I played a wish, and it didn't let me use a royal carriage on it. Should I have been able to gain 2 cards?

Wish returns itself to its pile, and is therefore no longer still in play after it finishes resolving. Thus Royal Carriage cannot replay it.

(Moreover, even if you use some other Action-replayer on Wish, like Throne Room, you still don't get two cards. That's what the "if you did" in the Wish card text means.)

You’d still get +2 Actions though.
