Maybe if Magic Lamp, Pouch, Goat and Pasture were all included.

Haunted Mirror certainly makes Thief interesting, with the potential for multiple Ghost gains.

If Pouch was the only +buy in an engine it would be a consideration.

I'm just happy there are no Thief/Heirloom games. It's an edge case, but when it's good, it would be super annoying.

No, Pirate Ship (and also Bandit) does not give you the stealed card. Noble Brigand only attacks Silver and Gold. So Thief is the only card which works here.
