Remaining mysteries

Some of the biggest questions for me:

* Will there be a Night Throne Room? (not like Ghost, but rather "play a Night from your hand twice") (probably not)
* Will there be an Action Heirloom or Night Heirloom? Maybe one that isn't a Treasure at all?
* Will there be a card that says "while this is in play"?
* Will there be another Reaction? Maybe a Night Reaction? (probably not)
* Will there be an Heirloom called Grimoire?

Night Watchman, maybe?

I will say this is a no. :) You can quote me on it when Nocturne releases.

I suspect there will be another way to gain Wishes, based on there being 12 in the pile and how hard it is to get them with Leprechaun. I mean, there's enough for each of 6 players to get 2 before playing them. It would be weird to waste cards in the set that wouldn't likely be used. I'm going to guess that it would be related to one of the remaining two Heirloom cards, but that's more of a guess.

I'm thinking at least one of the heirlooms will be a Night-Treasure, because we haven't seen that dual-type yet.

I'm wondering if Changeling is a sort of Band of Misfits variant as Night card, but I think it less likely now that we already have a BoM variant in Necromancer.

It seems pointless as there isn't much of a mechanical difference between Treasures and Night cards anyway.

Well, you could play it for $ and buy with it, or play it for some effect after buying.

Maybe something like this, an Enchantress-like Attack... (I don't know if this has been suggested as a fan card.)

"Reveal a card from your hand and choose an Action card in the Supply. Until your next turn, when another player plays a copy of the revealed card, it's played as the chosen card and remains so until it leaves play."

It probably has to be limited somehow, by cost or something, to not be too strong.

I mean sure it's possible, but I think it's hard to do without just feeling gimmicky and just done for the sake of having a double-type. Which is not the kind of thing Donald does.

There are cool things you could do. The first thing right off the top of my head:

Treasure: worth $1

Night-Duration: set aside a card from your hand face down under this. If you do, at the start of your next turn put it into your hand and trash this.

So a kind of self-trashing-Copper one-shot Haven.

Save kind of already does this though. Maybe a treasure - night - duration which as treasure is worth $2, and as night gives you +1 card at the start of your next turn. But this isn't the fan card subforum.

I wonder if there will be
-A night-victory card (green-black probably looks neat though).
-Something that reduces the cost of cards.
-Interaction cards other than fool (probably yes).
-A card that says "choose X of the following:"
-A card that says "when another player plays an attack card..." (maybe not since we already have faithful hound)
-A card that costs something other than 0, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
-A card which specifically states duchy or province (all other basic supply cards have already been mentioned)?
-A non-treasure card that gives +$x (probably yes, but none have been previewed).
-A non-victory kingdom card with more than 10 copies
Et cetera.

Sure no because it's already known there is 33 sets with 332 cards so only one victory card with 12 cards and it is cemetery.

Oh, agreed.

I wasn't trying to come up with a good Treasure-Night card - this isn't the variants forum -  just illustrate that it was a thing which could work mechanically so wasn't out of the question.

But you would play it either as a Copper or as a self-trashing Haven. So it's awful.

Again: it wasn't supposed to be the world's best card, just an illustration of how Treasure-Night could work mechanically.

Having said which, surely a Copper that can trash itself if you don't play it is strictly better than a Copper, even without a Haven one-shot? How good does an Heirloom have to be?

I forgot that it was an Heirloom. Was thinking about how likely you would be to buy it. :p

Oh right, I missed that when looking at the wiki.
There's probably going to be more though.

I'm not sure if this has already been addressed, but does anyone know if we'll see any new Events in Nocturne? Because there weren't any in the previews and while I would be fine without new Events because there's so much more other stuff that's being added to the game, it would be nice to know for sure if there are going to be any as Events are one of my favorite parts of this game.

Okay, just to clarify again, that barring split piles or unusual pile counts, all the cards in Nocturne are accounted for. So for those of you expecting more states, bad news. For Events specifically,  Donald X. said there would have to be at least 7 to warrant putting them in, so you're probably pretty far out of luck.

Will there be an Action Heirloom?
Will there be a Reaction Heirloom?
Will there be a Night Heirloom?

My guess is Yes, No, No.

My guess is Yes, No, No.
I'm pretty sure there won't be an Action-Heirloom. Particularly, I suspect all the Heirlooms will have Treasure amongst their types, and a card has to be doing something pretty special to be worth the potential confusion of an Action-Treasure.

There's already a Treasure-Night elsewhere in the set. Maybe there will be a Treasure-Reaction amongst the Heirlooms? My guess is no,yes,no.
