Hey everyone,

since the suggestion of shorter seasons was somewhat popular among some of our players, we decided to get some more opinions about this issue. The League has been 6 game machtes for 21 seasons now, but removing duds and adding engine cards for the last two expansions added some complexity which extended the average length of the matches, atleast it is perceived that way. So what do you think? Feel free to vote aswell if you're not currently in the League, aslong as you have the intention of possibly joining under one format.

Some clarification:

match= Player A vs. Player B
game=one game of dominion

Option 2: adding some time opposed to shortening matches is the other thing that could be done do reduce the dominion time per week, also it might be possible to schedule 3 games per session if they take longer since you have more freedom in scheduling.

option 4: was thrown into account for the added variance that 4 game matches bring in, how exactly that format would be implemented would have to be seen.

option 5: probably not going to happen, but I'm glad you like playing dominion! (votes for this probably only tilt the results to the status quo, since we don't want to alienate too many people)

option 6: You would sign up with your desired amount of games you would like to play. If you want to play 4, you will play everyone in your division for four games. If you sign up with more games, you will play more games against opponents who did the same, and 4 games against people who only play short seasons.

Feel free to suggest other alternatives, or discuss the options provided.

The poll will close soon, how do you interpret the results. How can we make the most players happy? It seems difficult to decide with these results.

It's a close split.  You have a 33-28 vote in favour of staying at 6 games.  Maybe the way to find a compromise is to move down to option 2 for a season and try extending the season by a couple of weeks, and see if that helps.  It's probably a good time to try it, it's summer, plus there's another Dualset tourney on the way (plus some early rumblings of a World Cup) so for the players who like the 5 week season they can still get their Dominion fix in other ways.

Well, it occurs to me that the divisions with five players have more time to schedule their matches.  There were a lot of five-player divisions this season, and there might be again next season, which might be for the best.
