Is there anyway to get past my opponents 5/2 Embassy start here?

I find Embassy to be highly annoying as a card. That said, it is really powerful. Here, my opponent opened Embassy/Haven. He picked up a Remake, another Haven and another Embassy during the game and played BM from there. With no attacks except Rabble, is there anything I could have done here?

One thought is to open silver/silver and then you are up 3 silvers to 0 after the first shuffle.  Your odds of then taking a Gold and an embassy of your own into the third shuffle aren't too shabby and then you're off to the races.  I think that in this sort of BM game I'd take haven over courtyard at 2 and embassy over rabble at 5.  Embassy is a fairly handy counter to the attack component of Rabble anyway.  I think playing 2nd, and with your opponent opening with the (correct) 5/2 split you're looking at about 35/65 against, ho hum.

Last month I was pretty sure people had a general consensus that buying Embassy on turn 1 or 2 was a bad idea, because it's too much a boost for your opponent. But today I've heard it referred to as a strong move twice. Has consensus changed?

Courtyard BM is also extremely strong. Don't think you need/want Havens. Just Courtyards, Golds and Plats.

It's a colony game, so I'm pretty sure you want to go for embassy.

Open Courtyard on $4/$3, then transition into Embassy.

The simulator also likes opening Embassy/Courtyard more than Embassy/Haven (Haven isn't played very well, but still)
