My opponent bought Mine. Fool's Gold is in the Kingdom.
Can I win if I buy Ironworks to gain Feodum?

That situation is by no means at all a turn zero loss, even if there was no Feodum.

When you said Mine, did you mean Mint?

The one and only time on this forum this is a legitimate question and not a joke.

a joke that works only for those with the pen/pin merger! if only i could upvote twice, having spent my life feeling alienated by jokes that only work for those with the cot/caught merger.

I am pretty sure people knew what I meant regardless.

I don't have either of those mergers. I guess it depends on your native language, and well, English isn't mine.

I meant to say Mine, not Mint. I am 2nd player, and 4/3. gg.

I'm going to suggest that Mine/FG is a rather terrible opening, especially when compared with Mint/FG.  Like... all you have to do to outdo that is to open IW/FG and then use the IW to get FGs.

Dominion. Solved.

Though maybe if you gain all the feodems while contesting fool's gold you might have a shot. ;-)

mine/fg is probably better than iw/fg. I'd compare it to like spice merchant/fg.

Can't you just open FG/FG and hope for the best? Mine is kinda gonna suck once FG is gone (in a game with that many stop cards).  Maybe the Mine misses the reshuffle.

Or do IW/FG? We don't know the rest of the kingdom.
