trashing two hovels on turn 2

Turn 1 - ehunt
e plays 4 Coppers.
e buys and gains a Masquerade.
e draws 3 Coppers, a Hovel and a Necropolis.

Turn 1 - Ewapores
E plays 5 Coppers.
E buys and gains a Lost City.
e shuffles their deck.
e draws a Masquerade.
E draws 5 cards.

Turn 2 - ehunt
e plays a Necropolis.
e plays a Masquerade.
e draws 2 Coppers.
e passes a Hovel to E.
E passes an Overgrown Estate to e.
e trashes an Overgrown Estate.
e draws an Overgrown Estate.
e plays 5 Coppers.
e buys and gains a Bazaar.
e shuffles their deck.
e draws 4 Coppers and a Masquerade.

Turn 2 - Ewapores
E plays a Necropolis.
E plays 2 Coppers.
E buys an Estate.
E trashes 2 Hovels.
E gains an Estate.
E shuffles their deck.
E draws 5 cards.

The one time when buying an Estate to trash Hovel t2 is actually a crazy strong play.

Eh, that still depends a lot on what else is available. Regardless, this is such an absurd corner case that I'd buy the Estate too just for the story.

Eh, that still depends a lot on what else is available. Regardless, this is such an absurd corner case that I'd buy the Estate too just for the story.

Well, as long as there aren't any better Victory cards such as Mill or Island available, it's pretty much the best play you could possibly make in that situation. Getting rid of a Shelter before your first shuffle is insanely good.

Spending an entire turn to trash a single card and get 1 point on turn 2 would normally be terrible. It only works here because he only had $2 and there was (probably) no strong alternative at that price.

Also that estate will probably be trashed anyway, so it's not even worth the point.

Spending an entire turn to trash a single non-coin-producing card on turn 2 would normally be the best play you'll make that day. Sometimes you're totally fine with spending $5 on a Copper just to cause the opposite effect to your opponent.
