RIP the dream.
I've learned I should think about my decisions even more carefully, meaning I should play even slower. I'm sure people are thrilled to hear that

https://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20161021/log.0.1477019717098.txtYou can Hag, wait for Witch, or go for Familiar. I decide for Hag, it ends up going even with Familiar. Except, Familiar turns into a liability because Horse Traders is on the board, and not playing one of the several Familiars you've bought hurts a lot more than not playing a single Sea Hag. Anyways, Hag + lots of Stables, then some sloggy thing where you buy Distant Lands now and then.
https://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20161021/log.0.1477019991740.txtMaybe the engine is doable here, but no alt-VP and Embassy + Treasure Trove is nuts. I hit a very early $7 that maybe should have been a Forge, but I'm not sure. Looking back I think I can't justify detouring for Forge. Which is a shame because it means that shuffle is really bad for me. Oh well.
https://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20161021/log.0.1477020951201.txtBuild to putting the +Action token on Knights. I get a big lead from Dame Anna, but throw it on turn 15 when I buy Gold. That should be Graverobber. I never get a good chance to pick up Graverobber after that, and eventually lose to Graverobbed Knights. There's a turn where I buy Province over Duchy because I'm scared schadd will Graverob Dame Josephine and buy Province, but that's too cautious with my deck. By that point I know I'm about to get Knight attacked, so I think I do need to take the risk and just go for the Province, try to end the game faster. (I was the beatdown and didn't realize it! Darn.)
https://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20161021/log.0.1477021437309.txtJack + Counterfeit-BM, not too much to say here. I think 2nd Counterfeit gave me just enough marginal advantage to get the win here.
https://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20161021/log.0.1477022038342.txtWhen Tournament-BM is the best thing on the board, you're really sad. I try to pick up Silvers over Tournament after the first few because I don't want them to get blocked too much once we pick up Provinces, but schadd ends up gaining more Prizes because of his extra Tournaments. Not sure what to take from this game. Things happened, I guess?
https://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20161021/log.0.1477022863444.txtEmbassy + Treasure Trove again, but this time there is a compelling set of engine cards. Haggler, Forager, Vineyard, and Farming Village. With 5/2 I feel like I'm forced to go for Embassy-BM, it feels way too fast. Well, turns out it wasn't fast enough. My turn 12 should have been Embassy instead of Gold. I thought I couldn't support more, but 1) I didn't account for all the Silvers from schadd's Embassy buys, and 2) it denies an Embassy from Schadd, and 3) it's just a better card from my deck than Gold is. I'm not sure if it cost me the game, but it definitely hurt my chances. I think the engine actually was better though - if I had stopped to think about it more, I might have opened Haggler/- instead.
