LaLight is not town, this is almost certain. It doesn't make sense from a scum perspective to push a lynch of LaLight since a lynch of anti-town is losing the game for scum. Therefore town or Ghacob. Lets lynch LaLight, its the best we have
*town on Ghacob

Similarly giving you, tripwire, a final "Voting for RR is against town"

I definitely feel like lynching LaLight is a loss for everybody but him.

Sorry, about my assumption there: would edit to "them"

I'll try another.

Tanner should have counterclaimed by the way I think.

Sorry, what does this mean? I've never played any of the forum games, and especially none of the mafia games so I have a hard time with comments like this.

:( the drunk is the worst role. By far.

It's definitely tricky, especially when there's no one who can look at the middle cards (seer, apprentice seer, etc.) It really highlights the need to determine which team you are on first before committing too much to things one way or the other though. That all being said, you really did get the short end of the odds on this one.

for what it's worth: tripwire, how much have you played One Night?

I've played countless games (with regular and Daybreak roles). People here have been way more truthful, much more quickly than I am used to, though. Likewise, regardless of what they start as, the people I play with don't play for "town," they play to win. So, a comment like that "softclaim" is "anti-town" would not be persuasive to me at all, but it seems like it is for you guys. Lastly, we always play 5 min max day. So it's hard for me to know what to do in and how to pace 48 hours.

GG all!

Of course I'm /in for another!

I'll have a proper response for you, tripwire at some point when I'm feeling less tired. If you like math, I can tell you that in this specific 6 player game, if you are town and not the troublemaker, town's interests align 91.67% with yours (that is, there is ~ a 1/12 chance that you started town and got switched to werewolf), and as long as everyone who's town likes those odds, town's odds of winning increase dramatically.

If you like math another way, it's worth obfuscating your own information as a regular towny ~1/12 of the time, the drunk ~5/12 of the time, and scum ~all the time. Using those odds, catching scum is so much easier than worrying about lies. Mathematical victories are pretty nice
..
And also why we should make this setup harder for town!

The tanner should have claimed to be the tanner in that scenario. This would have reduced the lynchpool to {LaLight, tripwire}. This might have given the tanner a quite decent chance to win and would have reduced scums chance to win to zero.

Luckily, since this model works, claiming wolf isn't good anymore. If wolf claims, counterclaim occurs and reduces the wolves chance to win to basically zero. If tanner claims, no counterclaim occurs and the tanner is not lynched and loses.
