Isotropic pictures?

Does anyone know where the pictures on isotropic come from? I've only figured out two:

Scheme comes from a scene in the Princess Bride,

Tactician is from "Napoleon Crossing the Alps,"

Anybody know anything else?

Witch - Wizard of Oz
Pawn - Alice in Wonderland
Sea Hag - 75% sure this is from Popeye
Apprentice - Disney's Fantasia
Adventurer - Conan the Adventurer
Noble Bridgand - the old Robin Hood movie--although I would prefer the Disney Fox one to be on here
Minion - Lord of the Rings
Swindler - Fantastic Mr Fox?
Council Room - an engraving of King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table
You can see a real live Coppersmith by going on a tour to Iraq apparently http://www.atlastours.net/iraq/baghdad_souqs.html

I often thought Outpost was Château d'If, but it isn't

Jack of All Trades is from a deck of cards, presumably. :P

Apprentice is the Sorcerer's Apprentice bit from Disney's Fantasia.

Haggler is from a quite famous scene in Monthy Pythons' The Life of Brian:

Duchess is also from Alice in Wonderland.

Fool's Gold is, annoyingly, not a picture of Fool's Gold.

Swindler is the same as the pic in the Wikipedia article for "trickster" (apparently from an old children's book): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trickster

Princess is Snow White, but specifically, Rachel Weisz as Snow White (I believe). I think it's from a Disney ad campaign from a few years ago.

Bureaucrat is a magic card too, called Bureaucracy: http://gatherer.wizards.com/pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=9778

Militia is also a magic card called Volunteer Militia: http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=6491

Festival of the guildpact blew my mind.  I've used that card in a draft online but never connected the dots or didn't remember the picture or something.

The other magic cards I've never seen so meh.

Some cards just came from googling the title plus castle. So, Cellar is some castle's cellar; chapel is some castle's chapel. A few cards are SCA pictures, like Trading Post. Some are ads for costumes, like Ambassador, or, in the case of Feast, ads for props. And then there's just a lot of random fantasy art or what have you. I do google image searches, but also look on deviantArt and Epilogue.

Bureaucrat, Militia, Spy, Festival, Embargo, Cutpurse, and Cartographer are from Magic cards.

Witch is from the Wizard of Oz.

Adventurer is some Conan art.

Pawn and Duchess are from Alice in Wonderland.

Swindler is Reynard the Fox.

Minion is Wormtongue from Lord of the Rings.

Saboteur and City are from computer games.

Upgrade shows work being done on Castle Neuschwanstein.

Haven is a painting of the place used in the opening scenes of Fantasy Island.

Lighthouse is the Lighthouse of Alexandria.

Smugglers I cropped from a novel cover.

Warehouse is from Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Pirate Ship is a Peter Pan painting.

Sea Hag is from Popeye.

Outpost is the castle of Saladin, on Pharaoh's Island in the Red Sea.

Tactician is Napoleon.

Apprentice is from Fantasia.

Trade Route is a random Silk Road picture.

Monument is the Colossus of Rhodes.

Counting House is an illustration for Sing a Song of Sixpence.

Jester is Danny Kaye from The Court Jester.

Followers is from Monty Python's Holy Grail. Neil Innes in front, who wrote/sings about Brave Sir Robin.

Princess is some Snow White thing not actually from a movie or anything.

Crossroads is the only pic I modified. I erased some telephone poles. It's the crossroads where blues singers go to sell their souls to the devil.

Fool's Gold does too show pyrite.

Oracle is some painting of the Oracle at Delphi.

Scheme is from Princess Bride. There appears to be a big overlap between Dominion playtesters and Princess Bride fans.

Jack of all Trades is a Jack!

Noble Brigand is Douglas Fairbanks as Robin Hood.

Haggler is from Life of Brian.

Highway shows the Appian Way - one of those roads that lead to Rome that you hear about.

Stables is at Kenilworth Castle.

Walled Village shows Carcassonne's walled village. It's not just the name of a game.

A few cards on isotropic don't match the prototype, because the prototype had the actual art (or did at that point). Doug came up with his own images for some of those. This includes Goons, Stash, and Black Market.

Having Italian blood and knowing a moderate amount of the language I feel obliged to say that the Appian Way is indeed Highway. It also is a very famous road. Not just "one of those roads that lead to Rome that you hear about". For more information look at wikipedia :)

I don't suppose there's any chance the official version will have the option to use the isotropic art? I've grown really attached to them, to the point where I actually miss them when I play with the real cards!

Something tells me most of these aren't in public domain, so it would be rather illegal to use them in a commercial product...

I'm actually a little curious as to why images taken from movies and Magic cards are allowed on Isotropic while official Dominion art is not. I'm not well-versed in IP discussions. Someone with a better understanding could possibly explain it?

A nifty feature for the official version could be the ability to upload your own images. This only shows on the side that you're playing. Otherwise, you'd get some jerk who uploads pornographic pictures to share with everyone; I've seen plenty of that in Counter-Strike. This would be similar to mods. I've seen Doom modded to look like Santa's workshop. And you could also redefine the sound files used in Worms (I loved using the Ab Fab set where you've periodically hear Patsy shout, "Oh, you bitch troll!").  Obviously, this isn't a necessary feature, but it could allow people with free time to customize their own games.

They aren't! But we've complained and the other people haven't. You could try reporting Doug to whoever, see if that makes your life better.

I have not personally posted any prototype images, because hey, not my art.

And the general policy we have, sadly with exceptions, not to let people use the art, except for like the frames and stuff on homemade cards, is because, it's one thing we can actually control, absolutely, and thus use to distinguish a real product from fan stuff.

As a goodbye-to-isotropic present can we get an archive of higher quality isotropic pictures?  Plus whatever art was chosen, if any, for playtesting upcoming expansions, when they are out?  I grew rather attached to them.  Yeah I could probably save all the images manually but it's a pain, plus the quality is poor.
