Crown, inheritance, and Pirate Ship

When Alice is inheriting Crown, Bob plays Pirate Ship to reveal her Estate and she trashes it. Bob takes a Pirate Ship token, right?
(My favorite Thief doesn't have this problem.)

I think so. The wording is "if anyone trashed a Treasure", and they did trash a Treasure, even if the card is no longer a treasure once it's in the Trash. The card they did trash was a Treasure, when they trashed it.

i would think yes. similarly to procession+band of misfits as fortress, cards retain their conditional qualities during the moment that they are trashed.

I thought you thought it was a slip because I said 'Jake's partners' instead of 'Roadrunner7671.'

While i agree this is the most plausible reading, Donald X has ruled on the occasion of Transmute that Estates that are trashed only count as Estates. Of course, Transmute's wording is slightly different, but it's not as clear as one would hope for, sadly.
Thinking about it, the wording is different enough. I wish this was more consistent, but luckily it only matters once every blue moon.
