I know there's only 8 piles, but given the highly stylized nature of the art, I think it could eaily be what they're playing.

I think town!Glooble pointing to something as a scum tell and then shortly thereafter doing that thing is a lot more likely than scum!Glooble doing that.

Could be any other cardgame, but if you're hooked in Dominion, I can see you'll see it in everything. :)

yeah, there's no piles for the treasures or victory card, so its probably something else.

Well if we're talking about Dominion in webcomics here's a good one: http://www.npccomic.com/2010/06/18/dominioneered/

I really doubt that's Dominion in that XKCD comic, not the right amount of piles and the lack of draw/discard piles seem odd.  On a side note a lot in that comic seems odd, the girl seems to have four legs in panel three and the guy seems to have picked up his hand of cards in panel 4 but it's still on the ground...
