After a ridonkulous run yesterday (CR is still down, but maybe something like 13-1?), I managed to jump to level 30!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I AM in THE BEST 326 players....on the leaderboard....right now

Not sure I can make it much higher with the threat of FunSockets looming, but I think that's a pretty alright watermark for having sub-500 games played and being a total noob with only 4 IRL games when I started on iso.

Well, my alt account (not gonna mention the name), got in the top 75! Woo! I've been getting better and better, but I still feel like there's a lot to learn...  But I still say Smugglers and Mandarin are terribly underrated.

After 2,183 ranked games of Dominion on Isotropic, I finally made it to level 40 (41 to be exact)!!!  I jumped 4 levels over the past 2 days thanks to my 20-2 record in that time.

Quite true.  People get angry and say I got lucky when I play 3 smugglers against them, top decking the laboratories with watchtower, and then use schemes to put back my develop, farming village, and border villages.

Up to Level 47 for the first time.  In many previous periods, that would have made me comfortably #1.  Instead, I'm still looking up several levels at Marin, Obi Wan, RisingJaguar, and Stef. 

And, actually, WanderingWinder, too.

It shocks me that you've never been at 47 before olneyce. I mean, I know it's all because you don't play enough so you always have a big uncertainty number, but still. Congrats though

So do you have to win at least 50% to even rank at all? I can't seem to squeeze out level 1. I win about 33% of my games.

Depends on whom you play. If you mostly play opponents of your level, and win 50% of you games, your mean skill will stay the same, but your variance should decrease, so you gain levels.

Your graph looks like you lost 10 levels due to increasing variance in half a year of not playing, but afterwards your mean level increased and variance decreased, so probably, when you continue playing you will get positive at some time.

Edit: In a quick look it seems to me that you buy too many terminal actions. So if you priorize Silver a bit higher, you would probably win more games. If you look at your games (see link above for old games) how often you draw at least 2 actions, but can only play one, and imagine every time that happens one of them would be a Silver, your hand looks a lot better...
Edit2: Actions are fun, but having two of them in hand an one can only play one of them is not.

It's not that bad (for your level). The variance decreases quite rapidly, and your mean level stayed the same anyway.

I got my first "The Flash" goal on the last day (supposedly) Isotropic is alive!  WOOT!!

I won the game 1-0 in 9 turns with key cards being Border Village, Wharf, and Quarry.

I have managed to pull out of my latest inexplicable slump and get back to L36... doubt I will ever reach my peak of 38 again, let alone 40.
