Crap, he is creating new accounts on the fly?  I wonder if you block someone and they open a new account, if the new account is still blocked.  It should be.

Also, don't feed the trolls, man.  The nature of his first 5 comments should be well enough to just ignore him.

How would ShuffleIt know if it's the same person?
Typically when you register or log in to an account on a website your IP address is recorded. It's not a perfect identifier (there are reasons why you might not have the same IP, or even similar IPs over time, and why two people might have the same one) but it can help administrators identify if some individuals are gaming the system through multiple accounts under the right circumstances. And there are other things that can be done to link potentially related accounts, especially if the person in question isn't bothering (or isn't smart enough) to hide their tracks.

That's basically the point of my (rhetorical) question. It's not as simple as same IP = same person. It's far more complicated than that. Even with a combination of IP and browser fingerprinting, it's still not good enough.

Right. You can use that information to investigate the possibility of an account being a duplicate of a previously banned account, but you can't use it to block a new account from being created.

(I think that's your point, anyway).

Dingan was talking not about banning accounts, but about personal blacklists. So populating people's blacklists by somehow detecting when someone on their blacklist makes a new account seems like a huge and unnecessary headache.

My opponent played Contraband. I banned Curse. It was the right play.

Donate-Knights-Rogue-Tomb match also deaturing Bridge, Moat, Walled Village, Oracle, Courtier and Workshop, making a very so-so engine with not a lot of actions for the amount of terminals you needed to play, after piles were low managed to win by killing half my deck and seting up for the following turn (though I took one turn longer than I should cause I forgot I had to pay off some of the debt...)

That's only nice if there aren't 2 cards you want. Still kind of funny.

I just realized that Farmerīs Market trashed itself when played for points, I was playing an treasureless (against Pirate Ship) engine based on Plaza, Wishing Well, Sentry and a lot of FMīs and suddenlly I start seeing that my Farmerīs Markets are disapering, and I start cursing myself for accidently trashing them with Sentry (I actually did that once in the midgame) and only at the end do I get to carefully read the card and see why there were 6 FMs on the trash... Still managed to squeeze a close win though... :P

I still forget this one occasionally. "Huh, I thought I had two Farmer's Markets..."

There was a board where the only cards that cost less than $5 were Silk Road and Cellar, so I opened Silver/Silver.

That opening isn't as common as it used to be, but is still a respectable move on weak boards or boards with dominant 5-costs.

Game #4769766

Just as an intense Vineyard rush was heating up, my opponent bid 40 on Mountain Pass.  I bought the remaining 6 Vineyards whilst they were still in debt.

EDIT: They ended the game still in debt  :'(

Was that an intentional bid or a misclick?

Probably intentional but due to a misunderstanding about how debt interacts with potion costs.

In which I realize that Inheriting Treasure Map doesn't work:

Code: [Select]
C plays an Estate.
C trashes an Estate.

I just played a game where Harvest was good. A big part of it was Obelisk.

Don't build a deck that plays a bunch of Peddlers and then keeps some Peddlers in hand to trash with Ritual.

J buys a Ritual.
J gains a Curse.
J trashes a Peddler.
