Played a League match where my opponent (luckat) discovered/invented the Diplomat/Ruined Village combo.

How has this incredible synergy been missed? This should easily push Ruined Village up the Qvist rankings of the ruins.

It has long been known that ruined village likes things that benefit from smaller hand sizes but i don't think a few synergies should change the perceived value of ruined village over the other ruins. (That said card rankings provide little strategic benefits anyways especially the ruins rankings.)

Just finished a game in which we split the Scrying Pools 5/5 and I drew no Scrying Pools for two shuffles straight.

I knew someone would say that. Skumpy made the exact same joke in our league match.

Secret Passage to Nowhere

Opponent opened Secret Passage on a 5-2 split. (There were several strong $5's available.) His next three buys were also Passages, even as I started to say, explicitly and repeatedly: "It's not really a cheap Lab." "It doesn't make your handsize bigger." "Dude, you are literally never going to get a better outcome than five Coppers." "YOU CANNOT BUY GOLD WITH THIS DECK."

And like finally it sunk in. "Oh. Because I have to put one BACK." (Which he had been doing, with prompting, every time.)

Not harmful like spamming Warehouse, probably not as common as Village Idiot, but is this a new trap?

Just had a ridiculous game (#3817959 on tokyo) with 5 potion cards (Transmute, Apothecary, Alchemist, Familiar, Possession), no Villages, no +Buy other than Seaway (which doesn't really work with ), and Steward.  Opponent went heavy on Familiars, and I opened Steward and spiked an early Possession.  Since I took all but one Curse (lucky Giant hit), my deck was crap, and a few times I was glad to be Possessed.  Meanwhile I was consistently grabbing Golds (for Palace) or even Provinces from his deck.  Ended up winning. :)

Alchemy cards are cool.  It's just that the potion cost makes them awkward.

Opponent tried to make a Mill/Watchtower disappearing money deck in a kingdom with no extra actions. Kept getting angry when drawing six cards with Watchtower and having most of them be dead action cards. Got a couple of Provinces anyway...but only when their hand started with the Necropolis in it.

Also, same game, same opponent ignored Cultist in a Wolf Den game. So I guess it doesn't really matter what they played.

Opened plan + swindler. My opponent ignored plan, which ended up being a good choice, as my first 3 swindler plays hit his 3 shelters.

I have another hilarious discussion.  Board was baker, steward, shanty town, millitia, port, wedding. Rest irrelevant. Game chat was quite hilarious.

Opponent doesn't understand that with double steward opening collision doesn't matter as best what you could buy when you trash is silver/shanty town if you spend baker token and thinks that double trashing is lucky.

LUCKYDUCKY:  luckier game for u

Luckyducky's complaints are never rational or fair. He's just an abusive fuckwit everyone should block.

Crap, he is creating new accounts on the fly?  I wonder if you block someone and they open a new account, if the new account is still blocked.  It should be.

Also, don't feed the trolls, man.  The nature of his first 5 comments should be well enough to just ignore him.

How would ShuffleIt know if it's the same person?

Typically when you register or log in to an account on a website your IP address is recorded. It's not a perfect identifier (there are reasons why you might not have the same IP, or even similar IPs over time, and why two people might have the same one) but it can help administrators identify if some individuals are gaming the system through multiple accounts under the right circumstances. And there are other things that can be done to link potentially related accounts, especially if the person in question isn't bothering (or isn't smart enough) to hide their tracks.
